Watching their FA cup qualifier on BBC iPlayer.

Coached by Mad Tom Williams, who only retired as a player for them last season!

I'm down to go and see them play in a few weeks!

From looking at twitter and YouTube, Hashtag Utd is supported exclusively by young lads who video themselves at matches, but don't watch the match? I find that a bit odd.

My understanding is it started off as a few friends who put a team together and were one of the first to use video content to really raise their profile.

Got better players, moved up the league, and continue to use video to promote themselves. Saw one stat yesterday that their cross bar challenge video has more views than anything on the official Glasgow Rangers YouTube channel (not sure how true that is)

Using social media to grow a football club is such a simple idea in this day and age, and I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. I have no issues with that at all, and applaud them on that.

I just find the whole idea of videoing yourself at a game a bit odd. Part of the appeal to being in any stadium at any level is the spectacle. I think vlogging detracts from that, especially if you've a couple of hundred all doing it at the same time. I think I'm just still annoyed that I missed Nardiello's goal at the Millennium stadium because I was trying to take a photo of it on my old Sagem, and it froze.

We've got a few fans who do the vlog idea (most popular one is Tykes TV) It's not my cup of tea but at the same time they do a good job and hope their popularity rises.

exactly how it started, Spencer the owner has been popular on Youtube for some years making football/FIFA videos and gained a big following. Then him and his mates started met up to play a charity game in memory of a few of his mates that died very young. He decided to record the game and post it online as he had a big following so knew he could raise more money for the charity that way, it got lots of views and people liked it so he started arranging more games and it grew from there.

They have a huge following online now, and have played a few times at Wembley etc. in games he has arranged. Be good to see them hit the football league at some point

Its a pet hate of mine vlogging and filming when at a game/gig. Go there and enjoy it. I went to Nou Camp a few years back and sat behind a guy that had his phone in his hand the whole game as he was obsessed with Neymar. Every time Neymar got the ball he recorded. I got there, took a few photos on my phone before kick off to show I had been etc. then the phone was away so I could fully enjoy Messi and co do their thing.

Its the same with gigs etc. Most go and just record the whole thing and end up watching it through the phone. Really bugs me.

Aye, each to their own, and I'm not trying to undermine the people that do it, it's entirely up to them. I just can't see how anyone can enjoy a game when they're not actually watching it. Vlogging is slightly different to what I've witnessed with Hashtag Utd, as you are watching the game. I was watching a video on YouTube the other day of one of the Hashtag lads, and he was just interviewing his mates all the way through the game, with his back to play. You're not there for the football at that point.
