Good win for Villa tonight. They are one of my favourite teams. United got sucked in. Egan red carded and other players booked. Wonder if other Premiership teams have now sussed them out.? Wouldn't surprise me if the Blades really struggle this season.
Because, for a club for whom a good number of their fans condone a bit of rape, their team have zero penetration.
I havn"t a clue what you are on about, I thought you were going to offer some dialogue regarding the reasons you think they will struggle but you have replied in a cryptic manner , forget it
I would say they are favourites for the drop at this stage. Is that six successive defeats including end of last season? Unless major surgery is performed on his 2nd/3rd Division team Wilder's magic will fade away by next May.
I expect them to finish bottom half but they aren’t finishing below Fulham & West Brom. I’d imagine they’ll finish above at least one of West Ham, Burnley, Southampton, Palace, Leeds & Brighton. A lot of people are getting carried away about Leeds, I still think they’ll struggle. They can’t defend & were very lucky that they were both very clinical & Liverpool weren’t on their game on the first day. They try & play that kind of football with that defence against well drilled sides like Palace & Burnley & it isn’t ending well for them never mind against the top sides. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if all three newly promoted sides go back down but right now I’d back West Ham, West Brom & Fulham for the drop.
I've been watching the BBC Three documentary following the fortunes of the Youngest Football boss, the twenty year old son of David Sullivan , young Jack Sullivan recently, who heads up West Ham United Ladies football club. Watching the programme, it's patently obvious that along with his co-owner David Gold, Sullivan Senior who is seen giving Jack his advice on how to run the club in the programme, is absolutely devoted to the Hammers. They may well continue to struggle again this season, but I feel confident that Sullivan who constantly says that he doesn't mind running at a loss, will along with Gold , probably dig deep into their own personal resources to keep them in the Premiership by signing the players needed to achieve that aim. So whilst agreeing with your choice of West Bromwich Albion and Fulham Django, I'd go with one from Southampton, Brighton, or Sheffield United to fill the remaining slot, although after initially saying that I thought Newcastle United would be safe, following their win at West Ham on the opening day, after watching their shambolic performance against Brighton on Sunday, I could well be persuaded that they could get dragged into a battle to survive.
I wish we knew how to score like Leeds though. I bet they wish they could defend like we do. Usually.
Definitely agree with that, they throw money at it but it seems like they get it wrong more often than they get it right. They’ve got all their huge signings sat on the bench in Lanzini, Yarmolenko & Anderson.
