That first red card, ball was in jacks hand before joua went down . Ref nowhere play to make a definite decision imo .
It’s a good job it wasn’t in jacks hand - he was about 35 yards out and he’d probably have got sent off too!
Seemed the ref was saying their player was elbowed - some kind of nasty foul play. When he just got pulled back where Walton was going to get the ball anyway. Stupid defending though.
Not quite in his hands as he was about 35 yards from his goal but I agree, Joao was never getting there. If it’s a foul, and I don’t think it is, then it shouldn’t be red for a goal scoring opportunity. Didn’t Cryne once say we never appeal reds as there wasn’t any point? I wonder if we will with this. I might have got that Cryne comment wrong by the way.
Wrong term of phrase in my part meant under his control should have realised it could be taken literally .
Might as well of sent Walton off for hand ball c ock up he made for second goal. I just wish we'd have done a couple of professional fouls gone down to 7 men n' got it replayed. We can't play that ***** two games running. Oh we just did. F eck the league cup we'll get dry loved at Stamford Bridge.
Is it one match though? Thought it was 3 for a straight red. Plus i think EFL cup games are separate competition
Red cards and suspensions are valid across all competitions. Yellow cards are now specific to the competition.
Wasn't a dangerous foul though or serious foul play so I think it will be one game. Could be wrong though.
For a nothing game we're probably going to lose anyway? Just bring in Halme, play Williams in the back three, and have a full squad to choose from for the game that matters. I wouldn't risk an appeal to then not have Helik for Coventry.
I hope you’re correct in this thread and they both miss the Chelsea game. Don’t really care about that game right now.
If we're viewing it as a nothing game I hope we play Victor and George to make sure we dont pick up any injuries.
