Which age group is most likely to go to a church service?

Oh I wonder what Boris has decided is exempt from the rules and can have as large a meetup as they want.

 

You are likely to be sat well apart in a church. Not sure about the singing though!

Id say you can sit much further apart in th garden with your family or friends than you can at churches which use pews and require you all to pick up hymn books and sheets etc.

There's absolutely no logical reason why you can't celebrate a 6 year olds birthday with 7 people but 50 pensioners can gather in a church. It's absolutely bonkers

 

Last time I attended church I came oot married.
No chance of me ever entering a church again.

 

Football will be much the same. Sitting well apart and singing chanting and cheering will not be entertained. Also food and refreshments will not be available just to add to the new football experience.

 

We don't need Boris to tell us what to do we already know. All we need from Boris is the current infection rate and number of deaths. If its higher than 1 stay in smaller groups, social distance, sanitize, wear masks in shops and public places wear you can, if its lower than 1 do exactly the same but in slightly larger groups until a vaccine is found. People have to work, kids have to go to school, people need restaurants, recreation, we need an economy etc just follow the obvious actions that we all know. Its people who can't follow basic common sense is what's bolloxing it up for everyone.
We could now be going to some football matches if the majority of people weren't selfish and stupid.

 

It's nothing to do with selfish stupid people. It's a lack of any effort to protect the vulnerable. No recruitment drive for carers, no government backed increase in food delivery availability etc

 

Sorry I couldn't disagree more following the first lock down we the rate was taken down to a manageable level. We then had a new way to live until a vaccine is found. If people followed common sense basic approach to controlling the virus then we would have more than enough resource to support the vulnerable and people with no one who really needed support rather than furlough cheats, raves, packing breaches , packing pubs, not distancing, cleaning or wearing masks. It's because of nobheads we are in it again It's as simple as that.

 

We had it down to zero at Christmas. By march we were building temporary morgues.

It's a virus, it replicates and spreads, it's what viruses do.
We have been told this is one of the most contagious viruses there is, there is no vaccine and yet we think we can do the impossible and eradicate it? Never going to happen. We've only eradicated two viruses in recorded history so this extremely contagious one was never going to be one we kept at bay.

The only way out of it was to protect the vulnerable but we've flat out refused to do it in any way. They've got no more support in place now than they had when it killed thousands 6 months ago

 

So the is the rule of six a increase in measures?

 

That's not new if you attend Oakwell we run out of hot water before half time on a weekly basis.

 

Except when they want a wee and leave Covid all over the bathroom for granny to pick up later. Think it through for Christ's sake.

 

I know God is supposed to be magic but I didn't realise he could plug up otherwise incontinent grannies.

 

No Singing allowed - or at least that's the rules in the CofE and Catholic churches, which constitute most Christian worship in the UK - you have to book online a place as well - can't just turn up - to ensure Social distancing can be adhered to.

 

I'm at a christening tomorrow. Will be able to see first hand!
