All with the virus and their game is still going ahead!!! I'm sure things like this will happen for the foreseeable future. Are there any rules in place for this type of thing with regards to the number of players missing for a game to be postponed etc ?!?
The game going ahead is the right thing to do. Games shouldn't be postponed for Covid. It's right to treat it the same way as a injury in that you just replace them. It's not the fault of Hibs that their opponents haven't been careful enough. They shouldn't be punished by being made to wait until their opponents have a stronger choice for the nets.
Would you want to send a keeper to help though and risk your squad when they return if it’s just for a week or so
No, I wouldn't personally, especially in this covid climate. I was just saying that emergency loans are possible
Only if they can get a goalie in on emergency loan. ( which I’m sure some other clubs will oblige) As much as I talk about being careful. If only one of those goalies has passed it on to the others. Which seems the most likely scenario (as they take part in specialised training) It’s still best endeavours on the players themselves. Not getting Covid is a given. What if their kids have caught it at school then brought it home. Any of us that are not quarantined are susceptible to it. Most of us using guidelines can only do best endeavours. They are not foolproof.
One of the keepers housemate plays for another Scottish team and he's out for a precautionary 2 weeks.
Absolute rubbish. So are you saying if all Barnsley’s available keepers were out due to Covid you would still be happy to it out a team with a rookie 16 year old in goal. I for one think if Celtic was to suffer the same fate their game would be postponed because of the situation.
As an aside to Dreamboys opinion. Didn't or don't you still (,forgot) but if you had 2-3 players on international duty your match was postponed. Well surely on your reply then it wasn't the opposition's fault their opponents have 3 players good enough for international recognition?!? Bit of a curve ball but one I've never thought of before ......
