Struber stated we're interested in signing him according to Adam Oxley. Has his name cropped up before?
Wasn't he the guy who wanted £20k a week or something daft? Played in the Champions League last season and before that Legia Warsaw?
Would have broken our transfer record apparently, a few threads on him from last year http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/as...breaking-transfer-record.282203/#post-2331909
Got a vague memory of his name being mentioned somewhere. Quick google suggests he went to Dinamo Zagreb in September and doesn't seem to have played much. Maybe his 20k demands might've gone down a bit...
Not sure whether this one will come off, but he looks good from the YouTube clips, but then again so did Odejayi
Good to hear that the manager who most of us on here rate highly is "in a good exchange" with the CEO and the Board!!!
Looks a good option this lad, from the clips I have seen he is very much a Kieffer Moore type. Big, strong and mobile. Not the best finisher but will work hard and be a pain in the backside to defend against.
This kid looks the real deal and is exactly the type of player we are looking for. I believe it would be a great signing. Whoever plays alongside him should be getting 20+ goals a season.
https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=96622&season_id=152 For some reason he only played 14 games last season and he's gone 11 without a goal, which isn't good for a striker.
I personally thought Moore's issue when playing in a pressing side was his mobility. He was mobile enough, but I wouldn't have had it down as one of his strengths. Which is why I think Stendel once or twice sprung surprises on us and left Moore randomly on the bench. We won't know yet if this lad is the best finisher or not with so few first team appearances. Is it 5 in 9 for the U21's? Not a bad return
If we're looking for a replacement for Brown who scored 3 in 40 League games last season, then it sounds about right!
I think Schmidt will surprise us this year, I reckon he will turn out to be a proper old fashioned goalscorer - do **** all for 89mins in most games and pop up with a goal from nowt.
The clips I saw showed him getting into some good positions but hitting post etc. which is where my assumption of him maybe not being the best finisher came from. I always rated Moore for his mobility, yes granted he isn't as mobile as a Chaplin or a Brown but for someone of his size he is very quick and got around the pitch well.
Difficult to tell from Tweets whether it was Struber or one of the journalists that brought up Whiteman's name. His response about other options does sound a bit more like he's unlikely to sign
