Trial game at Cambridge I think.... be nice to get back inside the stadium hopefully soon. Would everyone be happy to return? Anyone going to leave it? After going round Liverpool city centre yesterday - everything feels as if it's getting back to normal. Students have started returning which made it fuller but it seems like a normal Saturday to me.
I'd be happy to go back, I'd hope that those who are vulnerable use common sense and avoid crowded areas.
I’m thinking if I do nill by mouth for 3 hours before the game, totally empty bladder I can get to my seat without being inside. Given a reasonable spacing in the stand should be safe as houses? Might have to rehydrate at mi mothers after the game.
Step 3 and below are already up to 600 fans, it’s mostly fine, smaller grounds and entrance/exits sometimes makes it difficult to keep a distance. Fans at league clubs with obviously bigger grounds and subsequently larger amount of fans are going to have to get used to doing things like arriving and moving around the ground differently
TBH ST I’ll be going. I’m more worried about idiots not following the guidelines that will be put in place. Whatever they may be and it not suiting em.
Speaking of which, I had to go to asda today. I assume social distancing doesn't exist anymore. Masks were the worst possible idea imo
Not for me yet, can't see how there will be any social distancing in the gents during half-time mad rush. Each to their own though.
Wasn't intended to judge people - got to be people's own views. I can fully understand why people won't go
I would be fine with stadiums being back to full capacity. It would be no different to the week I've just had at the seaside where social distancing was nill and few masks were about even in arcades.
I had to go to fvcking Meadowhell yesterday. People without masks, people with masks which were pulled down so the mask didn't cover the nose, people ignoring the arrows and doing whatever the fvck they wanted. Note the 'had to' go - there's no way you're getting me in there for anything other than essential purchases.
I had to go there last week too and noticed the same. The majority had masks in but quite a few had them pulled down, in fact the amount of people I've seen with them pulled down or not covering their nose etc is ridiculous. I noticed in meadowhall so many walking round with a drink in their hand and a mask in the other. Technically allowed I think but a bit dumb. I honestly think that while masks themselves do work, masks for uneducated members of the public do more harm than good.
I noticed the drink thing, too! I'm not sure what can be done about that! As you say, it's technically allowed. I assume the virus particles must temporarily lose their power to kill people whenever drink is in hand. That said, I did get very thirsty walking around with a mask on the whole time - it's difficult.
I’d want to play it by ear. Depends how we did it and what safety measures were in place. More concerned with picking summat up and giving it to the mrs who takes it into hospital when she goes to work than owt. I have to travel a fair amount for work so trying to keep non essential trips to a minimum.
I don’t think we should go back until it’s 100% capacity. Just wouldn’t be the same for me. Although if the option is there I would still go. Which maybe slightly hypocritical but I don’t make the rules.
