Following I from last years poll and worthy winner Jacob Brown is the BBS Player of the season 20/21

    As before rules are

    1st place 5 points
    2nd place 3 points
    3rd place 1 point

1 point for each goal scored bonus of 2 points for a hat trick

1 point for all defensive players for a clean sheet.

3 bonus points for goalie saving a pen

End of season 10 points for top scorer 10 points for most assists. 10 points for defensive player appearing in mist clean sheets. 10 points for any keeper keeping 10 clean sheets.

Subs playing 45 minutes or more to be counted. Less than that not counted. (Slight tweak from last year)

Despite us winning the midfield battle, and being camped in the Forest half for the majority, I've gone for Mads Anderson. Absolutely faultless display, won everything in the air and on the ground. I was one of his critics last season, but he looks a completely different player to the one he was 10 months ago. He's certainly a confidence player.

Mowatt, Styles, Sollbauer, Ludewig and Woodrow all ran him close.

    Callum Styles.

He’s looking the most talented footballer in the squad. Experience and gametime will turn that talent into regular Strong performances.

He’ll have bad games but I doubt it’ll be too many.

Agreed about Mads different player with some experience at the side of him and Styles looks ready to go as an almost finished article.

From what I've seen, Styles is far more complete as a player at 20 than Hourihane was at 23. Hourihane, talented as he was, was positionally suspect and didn't do much tracking back. Obviously he ironed out those flaws, but these are things that Styles is already doing.

    Walton???

I could have played in goal yesterday and kept a clean sheet:)

Defensively sound again, Solly or Mads. Gone for Solly cos I voted for Mads several times end of last season

I’d like to see any subs be allowed an entry. What if someone comes on in the 60th minute and scores a hat-trick?

they’d get 5 points. I take the point but to be honest I cba adding someone onto the list who made an appearance as a 96th minute substitute. Half time seems a decent cut off to me.

cheers. It’s quite good fun and pretty accurate though I hate it when I forget to bump the thread and have to trawl through 56 pages to find it.

You are running this so you set the rules. For what it’s worth I agree with you though there is bound to be an exception at some point but for the vast majority of games the MotM will have played at least 45mins. I think it’s a sensible cut off point

Given the way we play aren't all the team defensive players?

Mowatt. Fewer misplaced passes than Styles, some great forward runs and such an all round sportsman he even found time to play a bit of Rugby League.
