In answer to your question, Brown didn’t feature yesterday and I’ve seen threads about us negotiating for three or four players to stay who might go. The business plan is clear and transfers are considered to be a legitimate form of income. I expect the end of each season to be harvest time for players who are ripe to sell on. That harvest has not happened yet. I’m not in the know, but I wonder if there is a chain reaction to be triggered by players being sold and freeing up money for players to come in. It’s an invitation to anybody who does know ought. Even though transfer window doesn’t close until October season proper starts on Saturday.
I’d guess at. Watkins - Brentford to Villa. Brown - Barnsley to Brentford. Which leaves Barnsley with a sizeable sum to bring in one or two of their targets.
In his post match interview on Radio Sheffield, Struber said that he wanted a big squad. He said he wants 2/3/4 more players. He wants to keep all of the current squad, but the club has 2 big offers for players.
You could well be right , I like Jacob & want him to stay but what will be will be ,but if selling him means we are able to hang on to Mowatt & Woodrow then its not a disaster . I would prefer to move Thomas & Bahre on & keep Brown but clubs further up the food chain are only interested in your better players & I feel we might be stuck with those two .
