Before the video the man was reportedly coughing at people on the train. https://media.btp.police.uk/r/17345/man_charged_with_threatening_behaviour_and_assaul
An absolute bellend who got exactly what he deserved. The commentary on the video from his mate is exactly why people shouldn't assume that these videos tell the whole story
A fine example of a total bellend who has created a scene for no other reason than he is a total bellend - it’s not like we’re in a global pandemic or anything where the wearing of masks helps everyone- his medical condition apparently is nothing to do with his respiratory system as he is doing some proper whinging - FFS just not necessary from what I hear it’s much harder to breath on a ventilator than to wear a mask
We don't know if masks are making much difference. I am agaisnt many aspects of restrictions. I don't like having to wear masks in shops, but when I go i do. I follow the rules because that's what society is. This guy is a disgrace, he's clearly out for causing trouble and is trying to wind the police up. As is often the case with these videos it's what we don't see before hand that is crucial. I hope the officer involved doesn't have any come back on this. So hard to police when you have idiots like this trying to play the victim.
The officer did amazingly well, he used just the right amount of force. Having seen some serious assaults on officers in recent years I'm surprised by how calm they remain using minimal force.
one of the many reasons it's not for most of us, I'd have been hard pressed not to fill the oxygen thief in.
Agree, I thought the Officer kept quite calm, I’d have lost it with the idiot filming, with his constant noise
Is it? Can't say it's something I've noticed on Merseyrail - there are idiots like everywhere else ...
Fiar enough, I didn't explain what I ment properly. That Masks are probably making very little difference at this point. Interesting article on BBC this morning. I've been reading about this for weeks but its finally made it to main stream outlet. BBC News - Coronavirus: Tests 'could be picking up dead virus' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-54000629
Requirements for a standard Scouse tableau: - High pitch screechy voices only dogs can hear? Tick - Needless aggressive confrontation? Tick - Setting yourself up to be able to play the victim of something? Tick - Someone in the background saying ‘calm down’ but actually aggravating the situation? Tick. To be fair having said I’m very against face masks I do think they should be employed compulsorily for all Scousers who want to say the word ‘chicken’.
Two things amaze me about masks which are..... 1) If a face covering works so well why do countries stricter on where you have to wear one getting record days for infections like some of our European neighbours have this week? 2) How come seaside resorts are never mentioned in the media as being close to getting locked down? They are some of the hardest places to social distance outdoors and indoors such as arcades few wear a mask and not many places do track and trace.
Lazy stereotypes- tick Chicken is an outside thing like people who say oh you're from Baaaaaaaaarnsley when ever they meet you .... Again don't think it is a typical scene and not a fair representation of the place. Read a lot about druggies in Barnsley town centre and we have a thread on here about someone being attacked by them in Barnsley ... wouldn't say that was a true reflection on the town. Not the place I know
It became a situation with quite a few people gobbing off and possibly spreading more droplets around the carriage.
I only wish he was in say Spain for example, where they would have given the whopper a mighty fine levelling session,
