That bloody drip has wound me up for years and the floor is a permanent puddle. I’ll have to see the improvement to believe it though.

Yes and it’s funny how local that puddle is to where we sit. You look on other rows and they are dry

You'd think being at the very back of the stand would keep you dry....

Does it apply to the effing drip who sits behind me?

It only leaks when it rains. Some people.

End of an era. Many's the time I've sat and relaxed while the water cascaded gently down from row to row just off to my left. Somewhere else there might have been football being played, but I didn't care, I was happy with my eyes closed, soaking up the softly babbling ambience of the East Stand water feature. Things will never be quite the same...

Barnsley Football Club needed a permanent solution for the 23,000 people who simply wanted to remain dry watching the football on match day!”

That’s what was so worrying about it, it used to leak all year round, even on a bright summer’s day.

And here's me looking at the title of the thread and thinking we've decided to fill in that awful gap in the corner between the East and North stands!

Think about how I felt when looking forward to a good al-fresco pee at the West Brom game, I found that a roof had appeared on the West Stand bogs!

So the club have known about the leaks for five years, but only just decided to sort it instead of doing so five years ago.

In years to come, the West Stand bogs will be entered in the Oakwell Hall Of Fame (Inanimate Objects section). Alongside Emmanuel Frimpong.

“This problem had been worsening and the club had tried numerous other treatments including bolting steel plates to the original gutter.”
