The only issue with that is it will be to late once we do end up with high numbers like that to slow it down again without another lockdown...
My biggest issue is that we've now had months and months and the only solutions I hear are a vaccine or another lockdown when numbers inevitably creep up again. These are the same solutions that were talked about in January and February Our government should have been making plans for protecting the vulnerable. Carers should have been trained, delivery networks should have been developed. They have spent so much time and money stopping people working that they've done sod all to protect the elderly and vulnerable when it DOES increase again
On a similar theme Johnson’s stooge has quit the intelligence committee Chris Grayling has quit the Intelligence and Security Committee. How on earth did he ever get on it in the first place I guess is the question? the guys only got two brain cells and one of those isn't working.
Aw them poor ickle Tories being picked on by Nasty Labour. Leave them alone will you all, they haven’t done anything to deserve this. We all know them ickle Tory cherubs care about the many not the few, oh wait a minute, where have I heard that before
They were elected last year on two promises: the Oven Ready Deal and Leveling up. Turns out they don't like the deal, and when presented with a golden, once in a generation opportunity to level up the regions outside London they suddenly panic about it.
Least Labour know they are ***** but tories always simply do one thing.....avoid an answer from a simple question. I would rather have snp and sf and greens rule the country than them any day of the week. Utter lying trolling scum
I don't personally understand why anyone would have a dig at the Tories. They've been a spotless administration - no lies, no u-turns, no ambiguity - and they've dealt brilliantly with the virus and the exam results. They're even getting the concessions they want from the EU around specialty foods. Fair play to them, I say.
Boris himself needs to go back to school but I wouldn't wish him on anybody. Areas of the country are on stricter lockdown so a kid cannot have one mate around to see in a garden with social distancing. However it's ok for same kid to go back to school and see the same mate and maybe another 30 or so of them stuck in a classroom.
Guess we will soon find out with Boris starting his back to the office campaign next week. If it results in thousands of daily infections like we are seeing in numerous European countries, he will get more bad press for pressuring work from home to stop.
Boris will tell folk to get back to the office, use public transport, buy things and pretty much get back to normal. He won't legislate for it though (he'll go against public health advice), so if an employee dies or get long term issues from getting infected, well employers enjoy the limitless fines or prison time for corporate manslaughter.
