To these brilliant Barnsley fans for their continued work on the final resting place of Rev Preedy.

    Excellent work.

I feel sorry for whoever is in the grave next to him. Probably whoever founded Sheff Wednesday.

I always find this annual pilgrimage very touching. I wonder if any other club does a similar thing?

next grave is Dr Reginald Pearson very close friend with Rev Preedy. Dr Pearson was so overcome by the death of his close friend that he became very ill and died shortly afterwards.

Dr Pearson's daughter Kathleen Mary Pearson b 1903 wrote The Borrowers series of books - Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
She wrote under her married name Mary Norton.

He's a photo from the burial showing the graves of Preedy and Dr Pearson side by side, I think it may have been a joint ceremony ......Looks very sparce with hardly a tree in sight, nothing like the jungle that surrounds the site now.
