don’t we only get a sell on fee if they make a profit? Can’t see Luton spending millions on someone who would get released on a free when his contract runs.
Excellent, he was terrific for us last season. Watch out for pandemonium in your box on Sept 12th if we get and corners of free kicks
https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-could-set-record-18810840 Don't get on their crowds and with a new ground to pay for how they can afford another million pound plus player. Next Wigan?
If it’s on sales value it will be peanuts, profit tends to be higher as it attaches more risk. but the big question has to be... why are Luton spending so much on a full back in the current climate? the worlds beyond mad!
Luton got decent money for players last season and avoided the drop so will get tv money again for another season 1.3 million isnt much nowadays its only us stuck in 1998 with a transfer record
I was thinking the same tbh, worth 1.3 million still young only going to get better, plenty of championship experience now, local to us.
I don't think a million-odd is that much at the bottom of the Championship really, for a player who's no risk because they already know he fits well into their team.
Bree was set for life after Villa move,if Luton matching his Villa wages they on their way to do a Wigan
Transfermarkt show £3.15m each for Hourihane and Bree. I think it was £3.15m in total for the pair though. Steve Bruce was quoted as saying they had only paid £1m for Hourihane. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sp...s/aston-villa-newcastle-united-goals-17316128 This interview with Heckingbottom suggests the same. https://www.theleaguepaper.com/featured/7439/big-interview-barnsley-boss-paul-heckingbottom/
They will have more revenue from ST than us.(unless they have only sold 3000) We are cheapest in the league for ST.
Lu'un sold both their full-backs last summer. In the case of James Justin, for a fee which frankly p1sses all over anything Barnsley have ever (literally ever) obtained. That's how they can afford Bree, and the chances are in a couple of years they'll move him on for a similar sum to the one they got for Justin. I love my club, but we get our fvcking pants pulled down all too often when we sell players.
