When I click Sign in/ Register instead of logging in as it used to, it now goes to the register page....
Obviously what I mean is that Chien Lee has bought iFollow and forgot to pay the server bill so it’s in “Maintenance Mode”
Still can't login. I think this is pretty awful, they've just taken my monthly subscription and then denied access with no explanations whatsoever.
If you're trying to login to Ifollow it's under maintenance for a few more days. Can't remember now how long it was down for, but there was an article on the club website the other week
They put a press release out stating that they were going to be under maintenance. There's no new content being put on there. https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2020/august/ifollow-maintenance/
You don't need to login to the website, so I'm assuming you mean iFollow Barnsley? We did warn supporters ahead of planned maintenance on the video platform. https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2020/august/ifollow-maintenance/ All iFollow subscribers across the Football League were apparently sent an email on August 11 outlining the planned changes etc, with renewals/subscriptions/new registrations unavailable until the maintenance was completed, with renewals for the new season starting from September 1. The upgrade will allow for 1080p videos (not 720), ability to watch via all phones/browsers and new piracy safeguarding aimed at stopping folk watching dodgy streams which takes the 80% revenue meant for clubs, away from clubs. Until crowds return, it is believed that Reds Reserved+ members with an iFollow Barnsley account will be able to watch home and away streams, Reds Reserved will get the home games, and there'll be match passes for non-members. I'm assuming it means we'll have to send nearly 8,000 codes out again. In the meantime, since this maintenance, we've put everything on YouTube/social media for free. Once the new system is successfully installed, content will return to iFollow Barnsley and the majority will go back behind the paywall (full subscribers). We will no doubt be informing supporters of a raft of things heading into the new season. As thereev used to say, hope this helps!
If you'd like to give me your bank details and passwords etc I'll tell you how to get the Nigerian version. Or at least that's what I was promised by Mr N'Kando when I gave him mine.
Thanks for that mate. I never had an email about this and I must have missed your earlier post. It's just a bit annoying that I can't watch highlights etc but I've still paid for it. Do you know when the service will resume?
As the article says, it's expected to be back up and running this week. I understand your point, but EFL Digital wanted to improve the quality of the service and so to upgrade the system, maintenance had to take place. And the off-season is as good a time as any considering there are no matches. And like I say, you've not missed any content as it's all been on YouTube and free to watch.
