Overrated? Had a ready made team at Barcelona but failed to win the champions league at Bayern and so far at City despite spending huge amounts of money.
Spent well over a billion pounds and can't win the big one. I think these owners will only put up with it one more season before they lose patience as he doesn't even get them close.
You don't fancy Liverpool for back to back titles fella? I hate Liverpool but think they will win the title again with City second and United third.
Strange decisions today. Think an on their game city give Munich lots of problems and it wouldn't be a foregone conclusion. Irrelevant after that. Feel sorry for Sterling, he'll get dog's abuse for his miss, but he was one of the few City players who turned up tonight.
Don’t think Barca was exactly ready made. They were in a bad way when he took over. Agree on City & Bayern though. The performances in the champions league haven’t been good enough. I don’t get his team selection, why play all 3 of Gundogan, Rodri & Fernandinho in midfield with De Bruyne in the front 3? He doesn’t go that defensive against Liverpool. Feel a bit sorry for David Silva as well. Should’ve started tonight. What a sad way for his City career to end with the manager opting to play 3 defensive minded midfielders over him
No I don't think so. Just my opinion of course, but City will strengthen again, and have a squad capable of coping with the shortened season. Winning back-to-back titles usually takes a mentally strong side. Liverpool have got what they've been craving for years, and their form post lockdown has been very questionable.
The only bald manager worth discussing is in situ at Oakwell. I am so happy the human rights-abusers failed again. Just QSG to go.
Pep? The greatest football Manager in history without any peers. Revolutionised the way in which the game is played, and luckily for the world did so on on the basis of playing good football. The very opposite of the anti football Mourinho. Thank you Pep.
Wow. Who do you think should replace him? One of the greatest managers of all time. Don't like city but would be a massive shame if he left the prem.
Nah. Not even close. Managed to win a few trophies with peak Messi, puyol, Iniesta and Xavi. Also managed to win a few while splashing the cash at Bayern and City but not even close to being the best manager of all time. Ferguson easily beats him there.
I sometimes wonder what the Peps and Mourinhos of this world would be like if they had to manage a team in the lower leagues and had no money....I suspect they'd be crap because theyre used to buying success
He's a chequebook manager, a self righteous fraud. Hilarious when he was wearing a ribbon for Catalan political prisoners and feigned ignorance when challenged about human rights in Abu Dhabi. A massive *****. No doubt he'll move to PSG in the next 18 months, steamroll the farmers' league and continue to fail to win the Champions League with a blank chequebook.
This ready made team at Barca is nonsense and when people say it, all it does is tell me they don't really know anything about it. Just like the Messi Ronaldo thing we were talking about the other day. Why does it have to be all or nothing. He's either the best ever or a complete fraud?
