I haven’t seen anywhere that there’s been no bids in between? Often multiple bids are made in a day. When Iain Hume went on Parkin’s podcast, he mentioned that we went from about £175k to £1.2m in the space of a day, while he was walking around Disneyworld. Multiple offers, incremental increases.
I can't see us going for him now. I'd be surprised if we get involved in any kind of transfer saga like this when the plan is to find undervalued talent.
Looks like Lyndon Dykes is becoming a plan B for those clubs that bid for, and missed out on, Kieffer Moore. Doubt we'll even try to compete with QPR, Boro and Stoke's salary offers.
Doug O’Kane (Chronicle) has said a few times that we aren’t after him so either we’re trying our very best to keep the deal under wraps or his agent is trying to stir up some interest. I think I’d guess the latter tbh.
You are one of the most negative, pessimistic posters on here. Wigan will win there appeal look what happened so let’s go for the complete opposite view to you and sign him.
He said one day that we weren't after him, and then the day after that a deal wasn't close. So I reckon if there is something in it, the club are trying to keep it under wraps as you say.
Doug O'Kane said the same, the same day as Andy Giddings. It was posted on here I think in the transfer rumors thread.
I might be wrong on this, but most of this boards signings have come out of the blue and been players that haven't been mentioned by anyone until a couple of days before their arrival. Any of the so called sure fire deals and about to be completed that have been around for a couple of weeks or more have all failed to come off. I expect that this one will be the same.
