To be fair your political ideologies have dominated and clouded the entirety of your posting history for the last 5 years. Ps, political ideologies aside do you accept that Boris Johnson is racist and that he has made anti Muslim statements in the past?
Political ideologies...You mean realism, acceptance of how the World is and not how I'd like it to be (sorry stole that from 'Nick Fury...Avengers). The term you used "clouded" (I take it to mean I have different perspective to you on some matters which you consider wrong) give the true meaning of your post away. I have often said I have no particular affinity to any political party or political ideologies, but DO consider human nature, to be something that influences my beliefs. Nevertheless, you can give me some examples please of what you believe are my "political ideologies. and I will respond. Actually, I do not know if Boris is racist or not. He has made many crass statements in the past, continues to do so and probably will again. My definition of racist however, differs from some on here. IMO it is always about the intent behind the words and actions and not the words and actions themselves. Someone, somewhere takes offence at virtually every utterance that comes out of the mouths of politicians, celebrities, media journalists. It is probably as well coal mining has ended as there would probably have been groups of protester at every pithead at the end of each shift protesting at miners coming up with black faces! In all seriousness, many people make perceived racist comments not because they are racist but because they are, either either insensitive to certain people being upset (not merely 'offended'), or in the case of comedy, using them as an indictment of racism itself often in the form of irony. The furore over some 70s comedy like Rising Damp , Love thy Neighbour and the Fawlty Tower episode are perfect examples.people who have never seen them jump to conclusion whipped up by the media in their 'crusade of the week'. all three of those intentionally highlighted the stupidity of racism and, in fact all the 'white' characters, Rigsby, Eddie Booth and The Major are all portrayed as ignorant 'buffoons' (if I may borrow that word from the anti-BJ crowd on here for a moment). In contrast the targets of their attitude towards non-whites are educated, tolerant and the sort of people you would be happy to associate with and have as neighbours, work colleagues etc. The extreme racism of the day, however, I acknowledge, was glossed over and 'sanitised' in most comedy. The one character that really hit home and was years ahead of his time was the one nowadays most often demonised.. Alf Garnett who was racist, sexist and completely ignorant was shown to be so by clever writing and the two family characters played by Una Stubbs and James Booth. The pithy comments from his long suffering wife were also telling. Of course, none of the above excuses Boris Johnson who, in the position he is in as PM or even an MP should choose his words far more carefully. He may often behave like a total d*ck but is he racist? I honestly don't know but, like I have already stated, I suspect not.
‘Political ideologies...You mean realism,‘.... I agree with Tekky condescending arrogance isn’t a political ideology
Last week the first with mandatory masks in shops sales declined.... https://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blo...-footfall-as-face-coverings-become-mandatory/ This as the second week has seen another decline in England as high as 6.6% for retail parks It's going to be interesting to see if it stays that way.
Nope.... I'd love some time off. Worked all way through apart from having 6 weeks off with covid. Would love a rest
It seems we aren't alone in being obsessed with Covid. I wonder how many of those heart disease and cancer deaths were avoidable if all resources hadn't been redirected to those with Covid?
That's a somewhat bizarre interpretation of a graph showing that something which essentially didn't exist prior to 2020 is the 3rd biggest killer in the USA during 2020, yet you're criticising people for being 'obsessed' with it?
It is. Millions of Americans don't have health care insurance so lots of Americans die as a consequence.
Yes that as well. That's what you get when the 'individual' is king though with minimal state intervention. Strangely there are around 3 million applications for residency there every year.
Yet another single digit day and on a Tuesday as well which is seen as the spike day after 'weekend lag'. We need more normality ASAP.
