Of course highlight reels can make anyone look great (I’m still stung over Odejayi’s all these years later) but he certainly looks like the kind of striker we should be targeting in my opinion. Woodrow, Chaplin, Schmidt (I think I’d rather Brown be on the right hand side moving forward) would all benefit from having someone up there who is putting their body about and winning headers. Transfer fee does seem a touch steep if they’re wanting £2M though.
I want him to sign but if the shirt sponsor of Lyndon Dykes isn't London Tykes then they should be disbanded
Could this just be the board trying to impress the Scottish clubs that they are after. Can`t see this guy coming to Oakwell.
Am I the only one here who got confused that there seemed to be games going on during lockdown although the Scottish league never restarted? Before realising that all the fans were packed into a few rows on the side of the ground with the camera on? Some excellent finishes there, you have to put the ball away whatever level you're playing at. However, the defending was by and large very poor, even Celtic's. In fact, the only thing worse in that video than the defending was the music. What an absolutely atrocious choice.
Remember watching (don’t ask me why!) Livingston play Celtic on Sky. Dykes had a cracking match being virtually unplayable. Thought we might go for him in January He scored and Livingston beat Celtic 2-0. Only one viewing of him though.
This highlights a significant problem which is that our club and prospective signings are not 100% sure which league we will be in next season. How can we agree deals when we don’t know what our income (including income from TV) will be? Same applies with new deals for existing players. The hearing is on 31/7 but I don’t know if there is any certainty about when the decision will be available. I am not sure how the procedure works. If this were a high court action Barnsley could apply to become a party to the proceedings and submit evidence/make submissions at the hearing. I hope we have considered this possibility.
Unfortunately for me, the Aussies haven't done too well for us. I loved Kenny, at first, but thought he didn't get a fair crack of the whip. When given the chance he was good, but unfortunately he was never the same after the injury, nor was he given much more opportunity. Socceroos over Scotland for me though, Lyndon.
How long do we wait on a decision from the EFL on Diaby, before deciding whether we need a new central defender? It was well beyond a joke several months ago.
Originally, yes, but he packed his bags at Celtic Park and then flew out to the Vatican. He Elbow’d his way into a Private Audience With the Pope (see what I did there?) and His Holiness blessed Ronnie’s boots before touching The Great Man on his forehead. His parting blessing was “Go forth my son and spread His word amongst those Yorkshire heathens”. Ronnie listened well, and did good work.....
He does get a fair few transfers right from what I’ve noticed. He did however recently tweet about Birmingham being interested in Mowatt..
