I wouldn't go to Wigan anytime soon the pie munches haven't seen the funny side of your artistic efforts.
It's absolutely nothing to do with us - their current predicament. They should perhaps aim any ire at the people tasked with running the club at various junctures since Dave Whelan stepped away having previously bankrolled their rise from non-league to the big time. Or those tasked with deciding who is fit and who is proper. I feel for the staff there and of course to some degree, their supporters. Nothing we do relates to them.
You wouldnt think so though to see some of the comments - its almost like they expected us to lose so that they would be able to take the 12 points and stay up. Has anyone pointed out to them that if they had won their last game there was nothing we could do about it and they would be safe. Even if we had lost they would still be down - Yet look at the Charlton forum - none of their fans are having a go at us in fact they are hoping our threats will force the Wednesday issue to save them
I'd have more sympathy with their supporters if they acknowledged that Wigan have been living beyond its mean for years and years I think I saw a graph on here earlier showing that in 2018 / 2019 they spent 168% of their income. Instead they seem to think we've caused their woes firstly by threatening the EFL with court action if they didn't enforce the rules and secondly for having the gall to beat Brentford and Forest .
That's true and until the 94 minute at Brentford it looked like that was going to bite us in the arse. I remember their fans crowing when they signed him about them being a massive step up for Moore and how they could blow us out of the water with wage offers for players now problem was they made the offers but couldn't fund them on Crowds no bigger than ours without PL money and a benevolent owner with deep pockets yet they don't see that was what caused them to go into admin.
Obviously sympathy for the club employees that may lose their jobs at Wigan and for probably most of their reasonable fans . But for them having a go at us is ridiculous and childish . The third last spot for most of the 90minutes on Wednesday was insert name any one from six including Wigan . They could have been insulting Charlton, Boro, Brum, Luton as well as us . Wigan it’s not our fault look in your own back Yard the rules were there so grow up
