Seem to be venting their spleen on us on social media. Non of the teams in bottom three of championship at the start of the resumption went down. Rovers were in form and could have stayed up. I can see why they angry ... I would be but it's not our fault EFL ended their season and they went down. Efl could still ruin ours as well!
It’s the pitchfork brigade and scattergun effect They’ve been wronged and anyone in range is to blame guilty or not , pretty much what happened with Brexit tbh.
We could go down after 46 games, because some judge decides that going into administration isn't going into administration, while being replaced by a club that didn't even finish the season in league 1
the situation in the championship made what happened in L1 and L2 all the more galling for them i imagine, however the only other option was to null and void it and that wasn't really seen as a serious option. They could have let them play but there wasn't an appetite for that as it would have bankrupted some clubs
You might have seen different tweets to me but I don't think the anger is being directed AT us and is more linked to the fact they were sold down the river by other teams in the league. Merely pointing at us, in a less than complimentary way granted, because we ripped up the rule book. Because ours really was the greatest of escapes, we're the club in the headlines right now. I'd be fuming as a Tranmere fan.
I've seen a few this morning commenting on the way we celebrated and we shouldn't even have been in that position . I'd be angry as well but with the EFL
I fking don’t, irrespective of the administration thing they have been living beyond their means to try to survive.
Barnsley FC have played fair on the pitch and played fair with the finances. We've stuck to the rules. You can't say that about too many clubs at this level, so if people are pointing fingers, they can **** off and point them somewhere else.
Not seen their board but something doesnt make sense Tranmere were wrongly relegated in my opinion - I think there is every chance had the season continued that they would have escaped There argument is strengthened by the fact that all 3 sides at the bottom of the Championship have survived (Judges permitting) but no idea why they wold be unhappy with us Luton or Stoke - all we have done is highlight how wrong it was to relegate Tranmere
I have been saying all along how badly done by they have been - long before we stayed up. To take an incomplete season and call it done was awful in my opinion. Not sure why they should be angry at us, but they should absolutely use Barnsley and Luton’s turnaround as evidence to support their claims on the injustice.
The EFL still have the power to end this madness if they abolish relegation before the fixtures are calculated for next season. They could expand the perspective divisions accordingly and avoid a lot of grief.
How did we rip up teh rule book? We played games that the FL told us to. The alternative was relegation, so we were obviously happy to play them
