Hopefully coming on here and giving the lads some credit, nowt to do with plastic fans it`s to do with optimism/pessimism.
We were never going to lose 10-0 there was a chance if we had started poorly and conceded a couple of early goals we might have conceded 4 or 5 but no one seriously thought we would let in double figures We played really well and the defence apart from one spell when we scored for them looked pretty decent, the problem was we always looked like scoring 0 and thats what we did. Great effort but ultimately same effect on our survival chances. I think we will beat Forest to keep it going to the bitter end
They may have shown themselves up, but so may I, not believing we are down till it`s mathematically impossible, I can live with it am sure they can.
I admit it i thought and said we’d get a good hiding but i was pleased to be proved wrong the fight and grit was there in abundance but that lack of quality in the final third had killed us .
I put 10-0, albeit tongue firmly in cheek and in reality hoping for the best. Looking at tonight objectively, I think Anderson did really well and Styles was largely superb. Lots of effort elsewhere but they play football for a good living so aren't we entitled to expect that? The front three were collectively and individually awful. There's a real contradiction for me in saying a team played well which was never going to score if it played until October. The game's about goals.
There's also so much fannying about to get it on the correct foot 'cos the midfielders are all lefties and Brown only has a right.
I said it could be a cricket score but we played well didnt embarrass our self and could have got something if not for taking our chances they were many positives to take and a few negatives.
