And if we could do that every game we wouldn't be in this predicament. But we haven't often enough. Because we filled the squad full of kids and if you do that, you get a season like ours. Can't fault those out on the pitch. The owners relegated us in August.
I think Struber has done a brilliant job since he cane in imo , Nothing to work with. Inexperienced etc but he added well even though he hadn’t much room to manoeuvre . I think we’ll lose him this season but I wouldn’t be surprised if a team came in for him with more quality than we’ve got I think he’d do a job on championship
Yup, sums my feelings up perfectly. Those lads gave everything they could today, but yet again, it's simply not enough. I thought Styles looked the best player on the pitch and is definitely a decent player in the making. On a personal note, can I wish you and your lovely family all the best for the future, old mate? I doubt I'll see you again and I'd just like to let you and them know you've helped make these last seventeen years I've been in this seat a joy with your company. Even on our bad days.
Not going to answer that as I don't agree we'll never see one another again. The world is going to come to its senses. Kicking and screaming, but it will.
I'm really pleased/relieved we didn't embarrass ourselves tonight but we need to be more clinical in front of goal. I have no idea what has happened to Woodrow.
Brilliant performance. We'd be lucky to keep hold of struber next season. Set the team up very well, but as always the lack of quality in front of goal has cost us. Telling stats that we're in top five for chances created and bottom in terms of conversion.
Lots of effort, good possession and build up play but no cutting edge unfortunately. Key decisions went against us too, as usual. Definite foul on Andersen in the box. Mowatt fouled in injury time just outside the box and nothing given. Can't fault the endeavour but lacking quality in front of goal.
Really impressed with Styles and thought Thomas did well when he came on. How Mads didn’t score I will never know. Right up there with the Dave Regis Miss.
Since we’ve comeback from lockdown it’s been hard to watch how bad Woodrow has become and Brown just isn’t anywhere near championship standard everything broke down when either player got involved in the attacking play really frustrating.
And they're supposed to be the ones who score the goals, the ones which other teams covet. The ones, who along with the rest of the attack, have the lowest conversion rate in the league.
Priority in the next two months is to sign a couple of decent strikers ideally one who is a target man.
