And who can blame him. I actually enjoyed that performance. Who knows where we might be with a decent big man up front!
Yep, if we had replaced Moore and maybe brought in a decent replacement in defence it could all be so different. We all know who are to blame for this.
I thought we were on top for a lot of that game but yet again we were poor in both boxes. It certainly didn’t look like a team going up to the premier league versus a team that’s going down to league 1 but I guess they got the 3 points so they won’t care one bit.
Weve blamed them since August, hoped they’d see the light in January, but they didn’t show anything. We’re going to be a really poor outfit next season, dread to think what these owners have in mind this summer.
The lads were brilliant tonight. A lucky own goal was the difference and we could have had at least three.
It could be a blessing that the close season is going to be very short. Doesn't give them much time to sell everyone worth a dime.
Only saw 2nd half, thought we were pretty solid at back given we were chasing the game. Our forward line was the weak link for me, lack of movement and lots of ball watching forcing the tip tap around the box as a result. The two times I saw Woodrow make a run into space he had a chance
Tbf to Leeds they had all the ball from the start. I wasnt surprised when they scored in all honesty.
Pity we down I think Struber could do a job in championship . I wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t asked by another championship team I think he’d do a job at somewhere like Brum imo.
The reds huffed and puffed but had no killer touch. But we are not bottom on this game. Damage was done in preseason sales. We never gave ourselves a fighting chance since the start of the season. Nevermind gotta pick ourselves up and look to next season whatever form that takes. Of course the annual firesales will take place so what the squad will be like is anybodies guess.
I'm more worried that we'll look really good next season before getting promoted and selling all our best players again. It's the circle of life...
Some of the lads showed what they're made of tonight so I expect the offers of a few blackie's eggs and a packet of crisps to come flooding in!
Yeah that’s a valid point. And you’re probably right. I have maybe stupidly renewed for next season. But can you imagine how nasty things would get at the football club if that happened again?
In my opinion there were some iffy defensive moments in the first half. Including the goal of course, which was poor. Second half we had a lot more of the ball and play in general but did look fairly solid. Regarding the forward line, I thought Chaplin looked quite sharp. Brown was way off it. Woodrow needs to be making the right decision more often. The chance he had when he basically had no Leeds defender within 5 yards of him in the box, he should’ve found a teammate rather than try and swivel on a shot.
