I expect it to be pulled down by an unholy alliance of Millwall fans and 60-something Daily Mail readers.
I admire the artist taking the opportunity to get some invaluable exposure, but should be taken down, purely because it’s celebrating a civil disturbance.
well if you can pull down a statue and put your own up any bodies guess! I vote for one of JLWBL outside the town hall, as a symbol of the integrity of this board.
Edit: After listening to the Artist & Model on the Radio, I changed my mind. They both said it wasn’t intended to be permanent but to instigate debate. All for that.
Yes John Attyeo was a hero in Bristol, but only on the Red side. The Gas fans would soon have it down and in the dock
That would have to be laid on its side as though it had been pulled darn to truly get that BigLil view.
It’s deeply racist, a statue of a racist -stirrer nobody to boot! pull it down like the last one and chuck it in the dock
Send a group down from this forum, pull it down. Presumably it's made of metal so we could weigh it in and put in an offer for Woodrow. BFC will sell him to us and we just give him back to the club for nowt, reaining an interest. My plan is faultless, how could it even fail? Then next year we can come up with an equally cunning plan to keep another. Keep the idea on the hush though, cos it's a secret.
Plan B then.. rip out all the old lead piping from the west stand bogs.. weigh that in along with a pair of Midos old boots cos they must be also made of lead with the way he moved when he was ere..
To be honest with how he's played recently we'd be better off sticking him on a plinth and putting the statue up front.
