You make out like this is something new! For as long as I’ve watched them (27 years) we’ve always had to sell our best players to keep going, do I agree, a don’t think I do but we are who we are. Let’s not forget we’d hardly got loads beating down the door to buy us either
Judging by the out going and incoming transfers from the last few windows I just have a hunch. As for blaming stendel he asked the board after the freindly at Sheffield United he needed some championship experience but the board said no.
I couldn't disagree with you more. I could try, but I'd fail. Daniel was pleading to have more experience brought in last Summer in every interview. That's the same Daniel who turned round the club after the disastrous relegation the previous campaign. That's the same Daniel who coached us to our first season unbeaten at home since 1968. That's the same Daniel who coached us to our first automatic promotion since 1997. That's the same Daniel who coached us to our best points total in the club's history. Perhaps the board should've listened to the man they claimed was their first choice as Head Coach (a claim they've also made for Gerhard Struber), as he was bang on. The lads signed last Summer weren't ready for a league as competitive as the Championship. The performances, especially at the start, showed this. But heaven forbid we criticise the people making, and bragging about, those decisions. If they were right, and Stendel was wrong, about the decision making, we wouldn't be bottom and about to be relegated. Relegated AGAIN for the second time in less than three years of their stewardship. We were relegated twice under John Dennis, too, but that was in thirteen years not less than three. We were relegated once under Ernest Dennis & Patrick Cryne. We were never relegated under Geoff Buckle, or Peter Doyle. But, yes. It's all Daniel Stendel's fault.
So it’s fine for others to throw dogs abuse at the board and players but cos I throw a few naughty words in I’m in the wrong?? Ok
A respect all views.....a don’t agree with some and a certainly don’t go kissing arses looking for likes either, I’ve said it how I see things
It's partly Stendel (whom I liked, but leaving the other team a full half of the pitch to do whatever they want in is not a good tactical approach) partly the board (who are happy to sell anything that moves, but it doesn't help when the players want out) and the one with the least responsibility is Struber (he has done well with a very poor hand. We're going down, no doubt about it, but I'd sooner him than Cvnty Hill, Flitcroft, Wilson Mark II, the Dwarf, Heckingbottom or Morais.)
Which I fully understand but I don't think you can claim to respect someone's views whilst using such insulting language aimed at the person for having those views. It's a bit like saying I have nothing against vegans and then standing shouting abuse at someone for being a vegan
If I was to list, in order of culpability, all the people I blame for our shambles of a season then I can say, hand on heart, that Daniel would be at the very bottom.
Struber has been allowed to bring in quite a few players and he's brought them in from his own country who he has knowledge of. He's then played his players constantly to the detriment of the team. He takes a huge amount of responsibility for me
Stendel gave me an unexpected and enjoyable promotion season. Struber has contributed to a miserable and expected relegation.
That occurred to me other day with Wigan, where we were up for sale for ages with no apparent interest but Wigan apparently have quite a few queuing up. How does that work?
