You think players have no idea what other clubs will be willing to pay/offer? His agent will have been touting him around well before the season ended.
And for the millionth time... He doesn't even get to discuss the contract if you refuse the offer from those hoping to buy. He was contracted to us. We're allowed to say no. Other clubs do. Why is that so difficult to understand?
Maybe so but he wasn't out of contract. He had a year left we didn't have to even entertain a bid. Quote from Paul conway talking about why he chose to sell pinnock As I have stated before, the club will sell a player with less than one year left on their contract if they will not accept our contract extension offer
Goes on all the time. That’s what players agents do. Just like when we sign players from other teams.
Conway has threatened to sue everyone why hasnt he done the same if our players are tapped up? Probably because they weren't taped up but we touted him around as he had refused a contract extension
My main point is in this thread, it is seriously being suggested that our owners would prefer relegation and have influenced somehow the last two matches. Do you believe that? Person who posted it certainly hasn't suggested how or why. Player thing has been done to death, we could have signed a so called world beater with championship experience and they don't fit in or perform. Club aren't going to get things right all the time. Murphy already admitted to that and they need to look at all options. Maybe 20% of transfers really work for any club... Look at so many players who leave and it just doesn't work out at the next club. But the point again is, the board aanting us to be relegated is utter nonsense.
I don't think they want us to get relegated. I just think they were negligent over the summer of 2019. Then they've spun us a load of lies.
Again what don't you understand about player mentality. It certainly ain't for the love of the club. Money talks All players have agents, they know what players earn, so even a call to an agent, he is duty bound to inform the his client of interest and will always in both their interests start talking money. Yes the club can refuse an approach, but the player knows about it. Chalks **** on trying his hardest for Barnsley, telling his agent he will leave for em on a free. It just doesn't work in football now blocking players from moving. Just causes massive unrest in the entire team.
We can't say anything about the sacking of Stendel for legal reasons. Oh wait. We can't say anything about the sacking of Stendel out of respect for Daniel. That's one off the top of my head. I can't remember any more, but there was a thread of here a few months back. I'll try and dig it out. Outright lies.
Why though... 7 million instanty out of pocket? If that was the case, why the threat if legal action aroundbthe restart, FFP?
Ethan Pinnock was a great player. You may wish to dis him as a person and claim he wouldn't have tried had we chosen not to sell. You have absolutely nothing to base that on at all. I think he would have tried, having met him I think he's a good person. I think your psychological evaluation of someone you don't know isn't worth anything.
I'll make a suggestion for a how last summers recruitment and a why because our league position is of secondary importance to profit from player sales. The only fly in the ointment for the board is last summers recruitment appears to have been an absolute disaster from a selling point of view so once Mowatt and Woodrow have been cashed in the cupboard looks a bit low on saleable assets.
More lack of emotional intelligence than lies. Sender also refused to comment. But you could argue that bringing Struber in has improved results which also pours water on the rather be relegated nonsense. If they were he'll bent on relegating us, why sack Stendel.
Now Mr Pinnock, I believe Brentford have offered you £30k a week (although I have no evidence of that). But I need to point out that you are currently under contract to Barnsley Football Club and, having just been promoted to the Championship, we feel we owe it to our supporters (who, in League One, have definitely paid your wages), and ourselves, to give the club the best possible chance of competing in the Championship. However, we will make this commitment to you. If, by January, circumstances have changed, we will review the situation in the new transfer window. We accept there is a risk in this, in that you may not prove to be good enough at Championship level (although Brentford clearly think you will be) and we may have to accept a reduced fee, or let your contract run down, in which case you will leave on a free transfer. Or, you may excel at that level, and the fee we are offered, and your personal terms, will almost certainly benefit as a consequence. We accept that there is a downside risk, but we are also aware that by selling you at this point we are sending out a negative message to our wonderful supporters. We are also aware that by pursuing this policy of letting players leave so they don't get the monk on (which, incidentally, would be grossly unprofessional), may well end up with us losing several million pounds next May (or July assuming there has been some kind of pandemic). Yours Sincerely, Whoever Is In Charge.
I didn't say they want to relegate us- That's idiotic and would cost them a stack load of money. I've said they lie. I've just tagged you in an old thread. It's worth a read.
Just doesnt happen.. Maybe in the 80's... Only thing talking now is money I'm afraid when it comes to 99% of footballers. To be honest you can't blame em for doing the best for their families.
