I'll tell you what. If you can't defend set pieces, how about putting someone on the posts? If we did that today the first and third goals today may have been stopped.

I've been saying that for quite some time...watch Burnley, the moment the corner comes in both full backs go inside the posts...Trippier saved a bagful of goals for them when they first went up to the PL.

If Ludewig had have scored his excellent chance then at 1-2 I think Stoke would have been nervy and I would have fancied us for the 4th goal. Striking at the near post instead of across Butland is one thing. But what is it with Football players wanting a second touch? The ball was there to be struck first time into the far corner. Instead he took another touch which gave the defenders a better chance to narrow the angle and he ended up going for the easy side of Butland.

Don’t know what he can do after that tbh when your full back passes straight to the opposition player in front of him time after time and your centre half tries to head a pass to a marked goalkeeper I’d say we got what we asked for .

He didnt need the touch but regardless of that it was whatever score stoke wanted.
They played us without breaking sweat....it could have been a lot worse score wise.

Imagine Nathan Jones is asking himself the same questions.

You brush it off. Forget about it. One defeat in four and still potentially in our hands with two big results next. The performance was awful, but the outrage of ‘we’re doomed’ is way over the top as if those same fans assumed we’d go undefeated in this mini season.

Tuesday will all be about character. Who has it the most, us or Luton?

The thing is, in football, every team poses different problems because the mix of opposition players is different and so are the tactics used by the opposition Chief Coach. The combination that Stoke offered (deep defense and tall players for set pieces) is one that we have struggled with, both home and away, but Luton will offer a different mix of problems, and it is up to our coach to solve those new problems with our mix of players and systems. Just because we have a blind spot against Stoke, it does not mean that blind spot extends to every team and system.

Well we know how quickly Luton started last time, we need to be ready. As I say , a good rest some work on our set pieces and hopefully we get that early goal.
