When the camera shows struber stood gormlessly staring into space is it a live shot or just a still from earlier in the game? I've seen them cut to it about 20 times and he's been in exactly the same position every time stood in silence
It’s bad enough watching on tv, watching it live must be soul destroying, especially when it’s your team...this is beyond awful.
Question. Do you think we've got a fantastic squad that would easily stop up in this division were it not for Struber's management of them?
He's not on the pitch. They are. Nobody was more surprised than me that we got 7 points out of 9 after covid. With the team he picked. Does he get credit for that, given that "They're crap"?
Fair enough. May as well sack him then as he's not in the pitch so has no influence. Pointless paying someone who doesn't have any responsibility
For today. No When we play well. Yes You seem to be of the stance that criticising him is unacceptable but that praising him is to be encouraged
Certainly not. He's got a crap hand though and seems to be playing it as best he can. Your modus operandi seems to be to stay quiet if we do well, and slate Struber if we lose.
But is he playing it as best he can? Ritz out wide left isn't working, as he doesn't have the pace to go past his man, and his passing lacks accuracy. I wouldn't have put him in the starting line up, definitely not ahead of Styles. The only bright spot of the second half for me was Eliott Simoes, who got involved, made some good runs, and tried to make things happen.
You're down to opinions really, aren't you? We have quite a few who run about a lot but produce little or nothing. So unless the defence is tight - which it wasn't - we're gonna lose. What can't be argued about (much) is that we were pants all day.
Both in a way. We've got a crap squad but nobody has forced him to banish odour, play Ritzmaier every game or pass the ball out from the back. And I praise when we play well. We were excellent in parts during the last two or three games prior to today
You can't deny that your participation on the BBS definitely appears to increase when we lose vs. when we play well like the last three games. There might be reasons for that, but the original point from Geggen stands.
We have no power, no driving force, no meaningful presence up front. We can tip tap it about and play quite attractive football at times. But we have no cutting edge. That is not Struber's fault.
I think he does have some credit but if Blackburn had scored that first half before he changed things we mightnt have viewed that match so positively . He was in charge for our home match against Stoke so I was hopeful that he'd have learned from that. Today had a similar feel unfortunately. Still, we go again, realistically I never expected us not to lose between now and the end of the season.
