I didn’t notice at the time, but Walton mentioned so in his post match interview

Considering the defenders signed in the summer it somewhat surprised me that they all are natural/stronger right footed after losing Lindsay and Pinnock

We've done that before this season. It's like a 4-4-2 diamond and 3-5-2 hybrid depending on the situation. Oduor has been the one to push way forward in the past.

It was obviously right from the start that we were playing 3 across the back. Noticed the change, but assumed it had summat to do with the line-up changes.

Yep, thought Ritzmaier in particular was excellent tactically in that role. Never caught out of position, never stopped running. Played the wrong option when we had opportunities going forwards a few times but thought he had a great game otherwise.

He needs to stop trying to hit the ball like Dominic Werling.

Dominik Werling! There's a blast from the past. Only the other day my son was taking shots at me in the garden and asked me which Barnsley player had the hardest shot I'd ever seen. Could picture a free kick. Plymouth if memory serves but couldn't think of his name for love nor money

Reckon Neil Thompson would give Werling a run for his money. Remember one of his free kicks hitting a defender directly and they just crumpled to the floor.. Proper left foot. Werling was all about the run up..

Left under a cloud. Can remember being really disappointed when he'd gone.
