Well Boris had to ‘squash the Sombrero’ He loves a catchphrase does our Boris. Pity he can’t latch onto the reality of the plight of millions of people like he does a catchphrase. Still the Boflakes and Tory apologists will defend and look on in awe at the incompetent buffoon.

He also squashed the medical experts from answering a question at one point.

In this extraordinary year, I think this statement from the Guardian says it all

With those in power failing us …
… at this historic moment, we demand better. From the covid pandemic and police brutality to the marginalisation of minority communities around the world, leadership is broken.
Lacking sensitivity to the real lives of their people, leaders are gambling with public health, safety, community cohesion and the future of younger generations.
Divisive and poor at crisis management, they sometimes appear more interested in serving themselves over the people they were elected to serve.
We have to make them raise their game.

I've been watching the U.S closely, many sports stars have been diagnosed in recent days. Flights seem to be a key spreader, states are still exceeding or maintaining in recorded number and deaths.
We've still got a number of pockets of outbreaks, but to date they've not enacted any mini lockdowns as promised. I'll be surprised if we're not back in the trouble again in a few weeks. Social distancing when in shops now doesn't seem to matter. Queuing seems to have remained but not much else.
The question is will the government try to keep a lid on the true new numbers?
We can now clearly see they've misled the country, and the PM and his cabinet are pathological liars and are fond of the Trump ******** playbook.

I'm sure the BJ fanboys will explain this is what he does and he's funny, patriotic and not Corbyn and its the fault of BLM. Maybe the removal of statues will cause a 2nd wave or new a mutation? Who knows!

The epitome of irony, today the Tory rabid Daily Heil is trumpeting on its front page headline that it has raised £10 million in charitable donations to buy badly needed PPE for front line care staff.
    Because they've not got enough
Because the Tories ignored all warnings and allowed stocks to deteriorate without replacement, to save a few quid*

*Actually they neglected to state that bit so I thought I'd help them out. I like to be helpful

    You couldn't make it up

This. There seem to be two types of leaders now: the ones who wanted the job purely for the power and prestige, but now look hopelessly out of their depth; and the reserved, competent types, determined to do their best in the face of a global crisis.

I find myself increasingly wishing we had Nicloa Sturgeon running things down here. Not something I would have even contemplated once upon a time. Her regular addresses are on a different level to the ones delivered by our shower.

What with Turkish PPE scandal? Well there are stories in the media, but some have ignored the issue.

BJ wants all schools back by Sept, is he going to that?
Well BJ doesn't do detail and if it goes wrong he'll blame the teachers, the unions, BLM, those removing statues, foreigners, the EU and the weather. But he's so funny when he lies to us all. He got Brexit done you know!

Oh to hide more scandals over the next few weeks BJ will announce pubs to reopen and social distancing to be reduced. He won't accept blame when goes wrong, he'll blame his own scientists, the public for not using common sense. The public will laugh he's so funny when he lies, and he got Brexit done.

Remember take a knee for BJ......did you know that gesture came from Game of Thrones?! Or was it Allo Allo or Rainbow?

You can have the credit, but you’ll have to join the queue behind the Boflakes if you have any desire to partake

Agree with your sentiment but a 2nd wave is highly likely thanks to lack of nous from people packing beaches, going to rave parties and yes, people attending mass protests in the middle of a pandemic.

It could well be, but let’s not divert from the fact that this govt, have failed to put in place actions to deal with the first wave
