People as you put it are highlighting my posts so you’d think they would have a bit of nuance wouldn’t you ?
All lives matter to me too but I don’t ram it down anyone’s throat to stifle their valid point and demean a valid struggle .

Well I'm not sure what your point is.

I think those of us who treat eveyone as they find them are a bit puzzled by what's going on.

TBH I think we should be left alone whilst the obvious problem is directed towards those who create the problem.

We have laws and it's a matter of enforcing them.

It's quite simple really isnt it. All lives matter when black lives matter, when equality is achieved. Until then all lives can't matter if black lives dont matter (i.e. if they are continued to be seen beneath the human race as a whole and not on an equal footing). But people interpret it how they want to interpret it.

    Then why enter into debate?
I’m puzzled tbh , if you want leaving alone get on with it but highlighting my posts or anyone else’s for that matter won’t help your cause.
Of course laws have only ever been changed by people following them haven’t they ?

Exactly that mate All lives matter was never an issue till black lives matter became a civil rights movement then it was used as a backbite, retort , snarl by racists some of whom don’t think they’re racist .
If all lives slogan is such an issue why havnt these back items set up a civil rights movement with an agenda of policies and aims ?
Which in turn could embrace black lives matter and work with them on lobbying and such .
It won’t happen because it’s nothing more than a racist taunt by racists and those that think they aren’t .

I have no cause here. Just my opinion.

Sometimes an opinion can be benign.

Your point about laws is somewhat obtuse. Is the answer "wibble"?

Anyway, that's me done debating with you, so you're right, in a sense.

I suppose context is important. Do all lives matter? Yes of course they do. If it is used just to try and counter a BLM discussion then I personally wouldn't use it but I wouldn't assume that somebody saying it was racist either.

    Not having that.

If someone is aware of the context yet they continue to use it, then yes, they are racist.

If it were used in an ordinary manner then no but it’s been pushed into the fore and used as a battle cry against BLM .
Of course all lives matter no one on here would disagree with that statement but it’s used when Black lives Matter comes into conversation or as a retort to say that it shouldn’t be black lives matter etc.

Welcome to Context City Arizona everyone.

Please post but make sure you use the word "context".

    In context of course.

I agree in that context but like I said there has to be some context. One of the football lads saying it would probably mean it was used in a racist way but it doesn't follow that everyone who says it is racist or intends it in a racist way.

    That’s what I said here .
I did say in a retort or because BLM was mentioned but to shout down BLM or say they should be saying ALM instead is for a kinder phrase not very considerate .

Was it a contest? I hope we were just exchanging opinions.

You stand up for your own views very well. At least you have some.

I'm accused of just picking faults in the views of others. Which is often true.

I still have my own though. But when they're not represented in one political party, it's not so easy to get them across.

No they're not. I would agree it demonstrates a lack of understanding about what BLM means but it doesn't necessarily make them racist.

Not sure everyone views are all in one particular party tbh , mine aren’t .
I’m more aligned to the Labour Party than The Tories but that’s an easy distinction imo .
I have a fair few shared points of view with the Green Party and the SNP , Plaid Cymru and Fina Gael .
