Hull being unable to agree an extension and us refusing to extend are not the same the thing albeit the same outcome.

It's open to interpretation, but 'unwilling to extend' was the term used, by Hull.

No, you are incorrect on the last point. A player must be without a contrat at the end of a transfer window to be able to sign for another club as a free agent, else they must wait until the next window. For example if a player had his contract cancelled on Jan 30th with his club he would be free to sign with another club at any point between then and the end of the season, if however he had his contract cancelled on 10th Feb after teh transfer window was shut, he would be unable to sign for another club until the next transfer window open( in theory July 1st, but who knows this season). This example is based on UK domestic transfers btw, not sure about foreign moves and differing countries transfer windows.

Given the financial straits the clubs in are we wise to turn down extra money though. His wages will be more than a few season tickets.

Think you’re right, seem to recall something about leagues complaining about window shutting before Spain’s etc, which meant Spanish clubs could raid English clubs but too late to replace. Which I read as players can leave but can’t register for an English club.

    It's wrong.
A player must be a free agent before the end of the last transfer window. If he has a contract when the transfer window closes, he must wait until the next one opens before he can play for another club.

If we are going to make a Serious fight to say up in these remaining games, this is a gamble they’re going to have to take.

8 points to overtake them. It's a big ask.

They've lost 8 of their last 10 and drawn the other 2.

I suppose it all depends on who has coped best with the enforced break. Time will tell.

    Agree. It’s a no-brainer.

The club got bashed for releasing Angus McDonald last time to them.

This and they have been refusing to pay the rest of the transfer money for him too.

I think Hull could be in trouble in the next 6-10 months, if not sooner.
