You need both, the broader movement and more individual, local initiatives.

Hopefully. But then that would mean an entire mind shift within a number of BAME cultures that see being fat as a symbol of affluence. And a shift in attitudes through out society in general away from the lazy convenience of fast food back to being able to cook and eat properly.

Cant see that happening anytime soon.

Also, it was only last year the incumbents that are currently trotting around the Home Office deliberately targeted chicken shops as part of an anti knife campaign...

Not sure they'll be able to read it though, the illiterate Delroys.

I don’t like the idea of giving extra help to BAME.
This singles them out and it pushes a wedge further between communities.
    Talking yes - freebies no.

Depends if they bothered with school or not doesnt it?

If they get to 12-13-14 year old and see their peers earning bare monies hustling and the peer pressure to do the same hits them then you are correct. they wont have the reading ability to digest the messages inside the box about positive role models, life stories and how they can live a life free of knife crime and gun violence.

Its not as if the opportunities dont exist for educated black kids, over the last few weeks theres been Black men and women almost constantly on the telly in positions of authority and power. Police, Mayors, Religious figures, politicians - theres a number of 2nd generation immigrants currently in the cabinet. Jobs for BAME only candidates, guaranteed uni places...

A lot of these kids are far from stupid, they just happen to be street educated rather than class room educated.

Which outside of their ends hustling in a perpetual cycle of arrests violence and death isnt going to get the vast majority far in life.

According to reports - it’s the young white males that are doing worse in schools.
    Orientals are usually top.
    Followed closely by Southern Asians.
Me and thee cocker are bottom of the class.
Who would have guessed that FFS !?!?!
