That chart from Feb 73 is just brilliant. I could happily listen to the top 40 show from that week now (well apart from jimmy Osmond and for a different reason Paul the nonce Gadd)
Sad to say one of my other early singles ( I love you love) was Gary Glitter one but that was thrown out a long time ago

    Some great tracks on there
one of my great memories as a kid was hanging on to a horse (or maybe motorbike) on the cocks and hens at the feast in Wombwell Feast field ( before the cops build on it) whilst Ballroom Blitz was blasting out - the perfect record for that sort of ride - I must have been about 10 at the time

Hmm. So you can't tell the difference from a horse and a motor bike. You were riding cocks and hens. And you may have been only 10. I really don't know where to start with this one. :p

A very underrated band. Steve was so funny camping it up. Anyone who likes great rock music could do worse than listen to these two classics.

Unfortunately I did also like Gary Glitter at the time.
And I was looking out for all the female singles at the time.
    Happy days.

Didn’t all you guys all sing a Gary Glitter chant at games?
C’mon come on, C’mon come on before charging the away fans.
All a bit daft and embarrassing now but it happened.

I can remember a wee holiday in 74 visiting my uncle who lived in Wolverhampton at the time. Went to Birmingham for their game v Ipswich and after the game lots of darker skinned fans all chanting Hello Hello It’s good to be black.
Found it amusing because at the time Dundee only had a very small Asian community and no racial tensions.
Doubt things have got any better there.
