Yes if they go to the trouble of testing then they can identify if someone has covid-19. However from what I can work out they don't always bother testing
and do you think the health secretary is noted for telling the truth. I get it you don’t give a toss fair enough.
I’d not use someone with vested interests to privatise the NHS as a source if I were you. Here’s an unbiased one.
That’s the best reason I can think of. **** the elderly. **** the NHS. If it stops him banging on I’m all for it.
Well thanks.. But I can assure you I would much prefer the flu. I didn't think I was going to die with the flu but thought I was a gonner on 2 occasions. I guess my mate who was the same age as me with no underlying health conditions would have preferred it to covid too. Signing out Edit# you are confusing flu and pneumonia. Covid with its respiratory element mirrors pneumonia, not the flu.
How strange that people think I’m incessant, yet they still lack the capacity to understand what I’m actually advocating. Dear me.
**** the young. **** the unemployed. **** education. **** the depressed. **** the victims of domestic violence. Seeing as we’re being juvenile.
yeah sending poor people out to die will definitely improve the lot of all those groups while those of us in lovely middle class jobs carry on working from home. The tories have already decimated services for all those groups pandemic or no pandemic. Maybe that was the time to fight for them rather than now. we should be in a position to exit lockdown. The lockdown whether you are in favour of not was designed to buy us time to prepare and to have the right exit strategy back up with a robust track test and isolate system. Unfortunately we have decided to elect a bunch of morons to gET BreXiT dONe so we have pissed that time against the wall and are no better off than we were 3 months ago. I’d love us to be in the position that Germany are. Disease largely under control. Trace and test in place but their leader is an adult not some blonde man child.
Some of the graphs suggest a total close to 65,000 from Covid 10. Sobering thought. One of the biggest crowds I've been in over the last five seasons, was the 2015/16 play off final at Wembley against Millwall. The attendance that particular day was 51,277. Imagine the entire crowd at that game plus another 13,723 folks all gone forever. What a frightening thought.!
A few thoughts on this: Agreed, the lockdown was supposed to prevent a spike which exceeded NHS capacity. That’s clearly been achieved, ICU ventilator capacity is currently being utilised at 9%. Job done. On the other stuff - I’m no Tory and I’m certainly no Brexiteer. What I don’t get is why you and others are cheerleading their ridiculous blanket lockdown policy which fundamentally helps mainly those who can afford to lockdown.
They are under reporting COVID deaths, not over reporting. What evidence have you got that they’ll start over reporting them in the future?
I don't think they would deliberately over report it or anything like that. I just think they're so lazy and incompetent that they will take the easy option in reporting
But they’re not doing it now so I don’t see why that would change just because it’s winter. If anything, the diagnosis should be more accurate, well you’d hope so anyway...
They are doing it now. Reporting without investigating the actual cause of death I mean. In winter when flu kills many people with respiratory failure and pneumonia I'd imagine there's a fairly high chance of those deaths being incorrectly identified as covid-19 or visa versa.
