    RIP Steve.
I loved The Sweet as a kid. Their greatest hits CD has some cracking stuff on it. Perfect for when you're in a nostalgic 70s mood.

We always used to put the B sides on the jukebox, it was like listening to a different band. The Sweet was a proper band but couldn’t make a living playing their stuff (which was quite heavy) so jumped on the glam rock bandwagon. They were described as a bunch of Brickies in lipstick.
    Brilliant!!!

If my memory serves me correctly, it was one of my first singles too.
I went into Barnsley or Donny and bought my first three singles:
    1. Blockbuster
    2. I'm a Union Man - Strawbs
    3. I think it was the latest Slade single, but I'm not sure

Ok gudbye t Jane there. I was positive it was earlier but in my defence it was a long time ago.
But some fantastic acts and tunes there. Faces, Bowie, Alice Cooper and Chuck Berry with my Ding a Ling
    Great days.
