    Always liked to see Denis run out at Oakwell. On the whole, I think he loved his time with us.

    His English was very good considering. Was very impressed.

    I think he'd printed off all the questions and read them all afternoon to try and get in the right mindset for speaking English. He was really thankful for being asked to come on live.

    He spoke well and gave impressive answers all things considered. I liked our South American contingent but I thought Souza left too soon and could’ve stayed on for longer.

    I’m personally looking forward to Scowen and Pinnock’s interviews. Again, both left too soon for my liking, particularly Ethan.

    I think money spoke on that Qatar deal. Was one of those too good to turn down moments based on what he said.

    Yeah, I certainly don’t blame him for taking the move. It sounded like an interesting experience, even if he wasn’t a fan of the heat.

    Great stuff again Ben. So good hearing the views of ex players, especially the foreign ones that we have enjoyed over recent years. I'd love to hear Arjan de Zeeuw talking at length about his time with us.

    Dennis is obviously an articulate man. I like to think I am a reasonably educated fellow but I would find it hard to become fluent in another language. Dennis's travels suggest that he will have had to learn English, French and Dutch in addition to his native Portuguese. Amazing achievement and so good to hear his obvious affection for his time at Oakwell.

    I liked Souza, built up a decent partnership with Fozzie and then (I think) big Darren Moore. We had some quite exciting, exotic players under Simon Davey - many were misses, but Denis was a hit.
