And it isn't the club's fault so they won't ask for a refund etc. Is this simply because it's bfc and you love the club? In other words would you accept a partial refund from your car insurance company or from sky sports or other companies?
I have no emotional attachment to those companies so I guess the simple answer is yes. I also regularly subscribe to some small businesses that I believe in and have carried on contributing to them whether they can deliver or not. But aye Rupert Murdoch can **** the **** off
Out of interest, who said it wasn't fair to ask for a refund from BFC? I saw quite a few saying they'd chalked the money off, but I don't recall reading people saying it was unfair. The caveat on this is I don't read every post on here.
Yes, it is only because its BFC. I don't think I would be so willing to reject a refund if it was any other business unless I felt a similar attachment to it and I knew that refunds could be damaging. Of course the circumstances are a factor too. I see it as money spent and BFC aren't responsible for not being able to play games.
This. I can't say I've seen anybody comment negatively on those wishing to get a refund though. Everybody's personal circumstances, and finances, are very different, especially in the current climate, so a refund to some may be important to some.
Personally think it is tight to ask for a refund on the basis of the virus affecting the season. I wouldn’t have an issue asking for a refund because the football served up has, on the whole, been utter carp and that’s down to the owners and their strategy. They own the club, they are free to run it how they see fit. I have the right to opt out and wait for them to get bored and clear off. I do feel for the players. It’s not their fault and some will go on and have great careers when they mature. As for sky sports, I have suspended my subs, not asked for a refund. It’s a different scenario. No doubt they will reactivate it when the golf and footy starts next month.
Would usually agree but not when they decimated the squad prior to us even gaining a foothold in this division.
Think it depends on personal circumstances too. I am not a ST holder but if I was I wouldn't apply for a refund if available as I can afford to get by without doing so, in the same way I haven't applied for any mortgage breaks, tax rebates etc. For me as I am still working full time (mainly from home) I am saving a fortune a month by not commuting to and from work each day. However I fully appreciate others wont be so fortunate and will be far worse off due to this pandemic so they may need to apply for refunds not because they dont love the club etc. but because they need to. If I was a ST holder though I would be much more reluctant to ask for a refund from BFC than I would my car insurance company or Sky etc. as I have a big love for the club but couldn't care less about the people that run Sky or other big firms.
The season ticket, surely, is a ticket for the 'season'. If the season has finished then surely the season ticket has run it's natural course? I would think any talk of refunds will depend on the EFL determining what actually constitutes this year's season.
No qualms with what others do or think about their remains tickets it entirely their right to do as they see fit I myself will be probably taking up the tickets for games and giving them as gifts . I have family and friends who can’t get to most games due to work so I’ll be giving them the tickets to hopefully choose the games they can attend .
