If this is supposed to excuse Cummings, then I'd love to hear about all the good things he's done, because as far as I can see he's not done ANY.
Cummins to Boris: Boris, your new slogan has shafted me... Boris: How so? Cummins: You told everybody to stay alert, some b*stard did and spotted me!"
Sometimes yes. Many times it's painfully obvious. Take Cummings for example. It's clear that this wasn't an innocent mistake. He didn't accidentally drive 260 miles when his wife's Brother lives a few miles from him in London. He has a childminder. He has the UK government and all the contacts associated with it in his pocket and available to help out. Choosing to drive to an idyllic setting at the opposite side of the country sits firmly in the deliberate act category.
No its not its just a life in general thing that i saw and thought id put on here. It can relate to everything BFC , BBS, family, friends, work and is a positive message for a sunday.
I dont want to join the Cummings debate as all your points are valid, my view is that as far as i am aware he didnt put anyone else at risk, he thought it was the best for his family at the time, I would always do what i think is best for my family without intentionally hurting others and shove what other people think and rightly or wrongly its a mountain out of a mole hill. Destroy his career for not being ethical or good at his job.
Indirectly he has put many people at risk. He was a key part of these rules being drawn up and his illegal actions have sent out the very clear message that the people making the rules do not actually agree with them. That will no doubt lead to people breaching the rules as they no longer have confidence in them
Is it just me that saw mistake after mistake? I take his point though, but I don't think they should be a school teacher ( and I hate this sort of moralistic crap that does the rounds on social media ) In real life only the try hards would notice anyway and it would hardly raise a titter!!
Surely in real life someone who noticed would shout out 'erm sir that's wrong' right at the beginning rather than sitting laughing with the entire class presumably in silence
