Now that would be telling. It might be a difficult one to make happen but he's very keen to try which is great! And thanks again. The kind words do make a difference and make it a really enjoyable initiative to be part of.
Another great stream involving our talented and dedicated fans. Thanks to yourself Ben and everyone who made it possible. Incidentally the only ex-player I know of who took up deep sea diving, was Matty Appleby.
I enjoyed this more than I thought. Having to look at Dyson's mug nearly put me off but glad I stuck with it. But seriously, that film is a masterpiece and had me very emotional when I first watched it. When the lads referred to it being about five hours long before the cuts etc, I wish they'd kept that version for idiots like me. A few weeks ago I spoke to JD, Redders and DW for some website stuff, back-to-back days, so the day before that run, I watched the film again just to get me in the mood. All three of them were effusive with their praise for it and considering to me (and most of us I'm sure) they're three of my heroes, they're just down to earth blokes who actually cared a lot about the work they did - it meant everything to them. So credit to the lads involved in making DDB for their work (GRAFT) and also, another big well done from me to Ben for his job presenting and pulling these streams together. They've been lovely during what is a very boring period for me, someone who thrives on working, who loves socialising etc. It's been a slog. Things like this help make it that wee bit easier. His mug aside - Dyson was on point when referring to everyone coming together to make special things.
Cheers for watching everybody, we really enjoyed it. And like others have said Loko, thanks to you and the Trust for all these. Incredible what you've done.
The word 'heroes' is very much over used these days. All of us who experienced the promotion season would say that the whole club, because the players can't do anything without the club, are heroes and forever will be. My father died in 2000, and he said at the time he never thought he would see his team in the Premier league . At least me managed that. Loko, Chris and Dyson, who I was lucky enough to meet on our walk to Chesterfield, are heroes as well. Loko due to putting these interviews together, and giving us some great laughs and insight into people's time at the club and their backgrounds. Well done mate, keep it up !! Chris and Dyson for producing the film they did. It still brings a bloody big lump to my throat whenever I watch it. And then for the amount of money they have caused to be raised for local good cause .
Amazing amount of money raised for local charities. I would imagine everyone on here who posts has got a copy but for those that maybe just have a look at the board it would be good to put a link up so those remaining copies get sold.
Laura got me the DVD for Christmas. Only watched it once. It had me in tears so she took the ****. She said she didn't realise how passionate I was about Barnsley because I was always leaving her in the ground early to go to the Mount. Haven't watched it since
Still 50/50 that one. I hate the idea of pre-recording one and just playing it at a certain time not live, but might need to flex as his work hours aren't favourable for evening interviews.
I’ve really enjoyed these, but this is my favourite so far. Great insight into the making of this great video. Great works thanks
Would be great to hear from him, I don't think pre-recording it would detract from our experience either
Like Stumpy, Matt was one of the unsung heroes of the team that took us up to the Premiership. One of the memories for me was watching the lads warming up before kick off. The routine was to form a circle and pass the ball across the circle as quickly as they could. The speed and skill in which they did it, showed they had something special and the banter they exchanged whilst they were doing it, told you they were "together" as a unit.
With all that extra footage not used could I suggest that the lads put together another dvd and possibly document their journey on making the film and this time make the dream come true and visit Clint The film title... Daydream believers achieving the impossible... Finding Clint...
Just watched this one and really enjoyed it - my favourite so far. You could feel the passion in Liam and Chris's voices. Brought a tear to the eye rewatching the final scene. Also it made a really nice change to hear 3 articulate Barnsley fans having an intelligent conversation instead of the usual media portrayal of chavs and numpties. Well done again for a very professional interview.
