Yep the outcome is Barnsley relegated, Diaby gets a 15 year contract, and must play 90% of games also Cam McGhee gets a 20 match ban.
The EFL has a huge drive on mental health. Not sure being in this limbo will be helping Diaby much. Even if it turns out he is guilty if whatever he is supposed to have done, I don’t see why it should take so long to sort out.
I have no inside knowledge on this at all but surely if the club and the player felt it was taking too long we'd hear about it when the press have asked? Based on that I'd guess club and player are comfortable (rather than happy) with whatever is going on and the process isn't something that is shared with the public. Based on the fact we're in a relegation fight worth £7 million revenue, I'd expect us to be pushing for Diaby's return should it be as easy as that - which might tell it's own story.
A footballer's career is a relatively short one. You can't just allow a system to operate that takes so long to produce an outcome, unless you in turn allow the player to continue plying his trade in the meantime. What if he is actually innocent? Having said that, there's probably summat been going on that we all don't know about, that suits Diaby and the club and the administrators to keep quiet.
Your point above was the whole point of my reply. We're demanding an update and answers, but the club and player aren't. That probably tells you all you need to know ......
Who said he was guilty? Not me! As I said, we're demanding an update and an answer but nobody else is (not publicly anyway). So whatever is happening the club must be comfortable with, given our current situation.
Well I wondered why Bambo had not yet appeared on your cosy 7pm BBQ of the lightly grilled nature. Tender meat to chew on there. And difficult to get high on the smoke.
even if he was allowed back this year he would be so far from match fitness that he would be of little use.
I remember when he got banned many were saying that was a blessing in disguise and he was holding anderson back etc. Then we made even more daft mistakes and anderson excelled and made diaby look like Paolo Maldini
