I had the pleasure of being in Edinburgh for 10 days during the fringe a couple of years ago, primarily for the tattoo which runs pretty much concurrently. The free fringe is where the true genius is, lots of mental comedy, stage shows, improv etc and people putting on shows in every conceivable space. A cracking time was had by all!
After 9 weeks without a haircut, my fringe stretches to Edinburgh (almost). It's back to the 60s folks.
