Not sure If it’s been discussed on here previously, does anyone think he’s not all he seems?

I try not to get drawn into conspiracies and all that ***** but there appears to be pace gathering to delve deeper into this man and his fingers in multiple pies, as ever there’s always some interesting views on here so thought I’d ask.

I think he's just a genuinely nice guy and I wouldn't be surprised to find that those being the digging are other rich people who he is making look exceptionally bad.

He isn’t standing on a grassy knoll with the Chinese and George Soros shooting CovId into bats. Just another capitalist.

Apart from being a close friend of Jeffery Epstein who visited his island many times he seems OK. I don't buy into the vaccine conspiracies like chipping people. He's done so much good for the world getting rid of viruses, helping Africa, giving billions to charity etc.

Owt to link to mate. All I know obviously apart from his extreme wealth is that he’s among a group of mega rich. That donate billions of their wealth to science etc for the benefit of mankind but is also accused of using that as a means also to build his empire and all is not as you say as seems .

Again. It's amazing how the far right dislike philanthropists.

Trump is ramping up his attacks on WHO in order to blame someone else for his disastrous handling of the covid crisis and Bill Gates is now, i think, it's biggest benefactor. Ergo, to Trump's far right enablers Gates is to be undermined.

In fact the more you read of the current anti Gates stories on the web and then fact check them the more you realise they originate from far right sources or anti vaccine nutters.
The ability of people to believe the first thing they read on the internet is astounding.

Don't get drawn into this conspiracy either. There are some conspiracy theory nut-jobs everywhere and social media has just given them a platform to discuss and spread their ridiculous nonsense. It's not political either, they are on the left, right and in the centre so you can't avoid them therefore the best option is to ignore them.

False claims targeting billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates are gaining traction online since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, with experts warning they could hamper efforts to curb the virus.

Doctored photos and fabricated news articles crafted by conspiracy theorists — shared thousands of times on social media platforms and messaging apps, in various languages — have gone as far as accusing the Microsoft founder of creating the outbreak.

Gates, who has pledged $250 million to efforts to fight the pandemic, is the latest in a string of online targets despite the World Health Organization’s efforts to fight what it called an “infodemic” — misinformation fanned by panic and confusion about the virus.

In recent months, 5G networks and Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros have also been blamed for creating COVID-19, which has killed more than 315,000 people around the world.

“Bill Gates has always been a target of specific conspiracy communities,” said Rory Smith, research manager at First Draft, a nonprofit that provides research and training for journalists. Gates — whose eponymous foundation has spent billions of dollars improving health care in developing countries over the past 20 years — has become “a kind of abstract boogeyman,” said Whitney Phillips, an assistant professor at New York’s Syracuse University, where she teaches digital ethics.

A video accusing Gates of wanting “to eliminate 15 percent of the population” through vaccination and electronic microchips has racked up nearly 2 million views on YouTube.

FP Fact Check has debunked dozens of similar rumors circulating online.

Thanks mate. So if I’ve read it right. China as a member pays around 80/90% in contributions cos it has to, to be a member, The rest is voluntary.

Then I can see why Trump to a degree on this issue ( as much as I don’t like the man.) threatened to remove some funding. Due to the handling of covid from the WHO.

China being the second richest nation in the world. Yet way down the list.

Uk (ranked 4th on the list I’ve picked up from 2019.) have given Over 70/80% in voluntary contributions.

Or do I read it wrong.?
