You can tell how much I don't know by how you've triple punctuated everything, got yourself in to a right lather and not actually addressed a single point I've made. You've sworn a lot, used a lot of capital letters, made no sense, championed yourself and attempted to belittle me.

You're a little clockwork Donald Trump and it's just too easy to keep turning the key and watch you rattle on.

No - basically the handouts (and let’s call them handouts and not subsidies because that’s what they are) were a political manoeuvre by the EU French to keep the French farmers happy.

However - what applied to the French farmer with one cow and 10 acres also applied to British farmers that farm in a different way and often have much larger farms - many farms are thousands of acres.
Consequently hundreds (maybe 1000s?) of farmers in Britain have been made multi millionaires by EU farming policy.
This is at the expense of the British tax payer and our environment.
For example - Duchy of Cornwall, Prince Charles gets a cheque from us tax payers each year of over £1 million because of the farmland he owns in Cornwall.
Think about that next time you hear news about food banks.

Within economics there is something called ‘polluter pays.
It’s purpose is to prevent companies polluting our environment especially our water supplies.
Water companies are spending billions (our money) trying to clean our water supplies because of the harmful substances farmers are dumping on their land.
As I said - economists are saying it would be much cheaper to stop farming in Britain and buy cheaper food from abroad.

In 1971 when nudge was about 12 or so rump steak cost £1.25 a kilo on average. Adjusted for inflation that is £17.80 a kilo in today's money.
Rump steak at Tesco costs on average £15.85 a kilo

I never had steak as a kid, other than the stewing kind.

Nonsense. His dad used to work 31 hours a day for 2 specks of dust and a cobweb but he was still able to put an entire blue whale on the table every night.

That's confirmed it then. Just use the tried and tested method of "whatever Nudger says is wrong".

    You won't go far wrong.

I don’t post on here to address things what people like Jay have to say.

The parrot on the shoulder has been replaced by a Jay.
Similar annoying noice - squawking in the ear of the person every day - never making any sense.

Is it the fact that a lot of farmers have shoots on their land that you dislike them so much??

That’s not part of this discussion.
The debate is about the smoke screen (chlorinated chicken) farmers and their supporters (NFU, Conservative Party) are throwing up to protect farming interests.
It’s a battle between the new and the old wings of the Conservative Party.
Many members of the Conservative Party are landowners.

I've already explained what's wrong with chlorinated chicken and the associated reporting/legal issues around it to you once in this thread, you've conveniently ignored that one though, Nudge. Not like you, that.

    Going now.
But if you still think I’m spouting sh.te.
Then let me point you in the direction of
Dieter Helm professor of economic policy at the University of Oxford.
Another good source of info is from George Monbiot who regularly writes in The Guardian.

This isnt against you because you haven't instigated it, but actually people have 'conveniently' side-stepped the issue of animal cruelty and replaced it with a whole lotta nudger-bashing.
