There’s no good outcome for any being really. But some are better than others based on the environment and conditions, us fcukkers included.

Yes it is, compared to how long human beings have been around. It's a fraction.

Why are teeth an indication? Jay says vegetarianism is relatively young and comes out with 'silly comments'. Just because eating animals is as old as time doesn't mean it is right, doesn't mean 'the evidence that we have killed to eat stretches back centuries and therefore must be the right thing to do' makes it the right thing to do, and if you or 'research' wants to believe that the shape of your teeth makes it acceptable, then I've nothing further to add.

When I was a kid - we often had a gret big slab of meat sat on the table ( hence the size of mi).
We could afford it - and it wasn’t out of the reach of most living on the same council estate.

When I go in the local shop now and pick up a piece of steak the person serving me shouts out “rump steak”!!! to the people stacking the shelves.
    Why ???
Because it’s a luxury item - and as such they only put a couple of pieces on the shelves at any one time.
    Why ???
Because it’s one of the items that people living in this area regularly walk in and grab and then run out of the shop.
Many people just can’t afford that type of food now.

I strongly believe that human incursion into nature causes animal-to-human transmission of diseases.

Still. Nice bit of dead animal with all the trimmings this Sunday. Like nothing ever happened. Bit of tortured, slaughtered cow. With potatoes. obviously.

You are correct in what you say, I feel, but you won't be listened to.

You came out with 'silly comments' you dozy bugger. And your nutritional requirements show you need meat. You can live with out it and that's a moral choice and I'm not arguing against that but we're naturally omnivores and to pretend otherwise because you have a moral argument against eating meat is simply incorrect. The moral argument in itself is worthwhile, your argument is wrong.

My Dad's a vegan, my brother was vegetarian. I accept I have the choice to be both but neither the health arguments nor the animal welfare arguments or even the environmental reasons have persuaded me. Tbh, the few times I have been really hungry I have wanted meat.

Did you do Biology at school? It’s quite clear incisors are ripping tools. I’ve never had to do that with an apple.

I was referring to your 'like all relatively young things comes out with stupid arguments' comment. Apologies I misquoted you as saying 'silly comments' but 'stupid arguments' is close innit? My argument is dont talk about 'animal welfare' when animal death caused by humans for food is involved, and to be honest I find it hard to understand an argument against that. Just my opinion

Thas spouted some shi.te in thi time.
But you have topped it there.
    Absolute garbage. Totally ignorant.
    Lol !!!
I’m an ex miner ...... what’s more important energy production or food production ???
Think this time before opening thi big gob FFS.
And if they could import such a massive bulk commodity to serve the power stations AT THAT TIME - they can import any amount of cheaper food now.
You know foook all about economics!!!
Ordinary British tax payers are subsidising farmers to keep them going when we can get cheaper food from abroad.
............. deleted the abuse - don’t want to be tarred with same brush as Jay.

Instead of using the shape of our teeth as an example shall we instead use our digestive system? We have the digestive system of an omnivore not an herbivore and that my friend is a scientific fact.

Or we could compare homo sapiens to the other hominids on the planet and realise that they too are omnivores. Coincidence?

Orrrrr we could look at fossils and realise that prehistoric hominins were eating meat

Are we the only country who's farmers get these grants?
And are we now the cheapest country because of our grants?

We are talking about the myth of chlorinated chicken here and how the usual suspects like yourself, Nutty Nutkins and Squarker Jay naively swallows anything that the media puts infront of them.

British farming is detrimental to the economics and environmental wellbeing of Britain - end of, full stop, period.
And if you think any differently then you must be one of those that watches BBC Countryfile and think it’s lovely.
