    I honestly admit that I haven't.
Maybe due to a few things ...
    1. We live in the countryside 50 miles from Barnsley.
    2. The weather has been very good.
    3. I'm able to do all the gardening jobs that would never have got done.
    4. Homebrew drinking can start at any time.
    5. Sitting out in the sunshine listening to the birds or music is recommended.
    6. It never crosses my mind that BFC are still bottom of the league and frankly I'd lost interest.
    7. ..... Add your own ....

Less mental junk. The things that matter become clearer. Missing out on holidays, football and the pub matter less with proper clarity of thought.

I'm really surprised at myself that I haven't tbh. Probably cos we've been cack this season in the grand scheme of things.

I have. I love going to Oakwell on a warm, sunny day. I am with my family now though so I'm lucky (but what I'd give to have the house to myself for a bit!!!)

Not really. Just sick of the will it won't it happen. Would rather it have been null and void and brought back when it's safe for fans to return. None of this sterile empty grounds **** on TV. Saying that it's Not as I watch live football on TV anyway. Just feel for the fans who may have no club to return to. If ALL revenue was shared out equally between the 91/92 not just dished out to clubs on TV or whatever avenue it's streamed. With some monies flowing through to none league. We're all in this together my arse.

I think sterile empty grounds will benefit my favourite pastime. Have you ever watched a horse race and a horse suddenly jinks towards the stands or away from the stands near the finish? Sometimes that's because of the crowd or it being spooked. With no spectators, you could say there's no excuses.

Football, not really. Sitting with me dad, his wife + nephews and nieces, yes. And all the people I know sat around us including a couple on here, yes. And meeting people before and after in the pub, putting the game and the world to rights, yes. Getting drunk, having a laugh, going for a curry, yes. Feeling alive, yes.

And probably the reason I haven't missed the actual football this season is we've been crap. Ask me another season and I would have.

Is it true that when your football team loses the emotion you feel comes from the same part of your brain that produces grief?

Really missing the social side of it. Seeing my mates having a beer or two. Chatting with the people around us at the game.
The football itself? Well as others have said we have been terrible this season so not so much. I'm sure we would have missed it more if it had been last season that got halted.
Not sure how much interest I would have in watching games in empty stadiums on tv.

    Good morning SD -

With losing at football there's always another match and we all tend to 'look on the bright side' and think things will perk up.

So, no, the emotion is not of grief - although at times it maybe should be!

There has been research that has suggested there is an increase in the incidence of heart attacks when the local football team loses. This would suggest that it is more than just "Meh", but whether it is stress or some other physical/emotional reaction I couldn't tell you.

I placed a bet early March on Barnsley NOT being relegated - £10 - 7/2 (crap odds!)

Read somewhere that number of Domestic Abuse cases increase in areas when the football team are doing badly.
