I did read (take with a pinch of salt) that one of the main reasons they want the economy to restart - especially construction is that a lot of the big money Tory backers in history lost a lot of money in the crash of 1929 (and earlier) including Churchill. One of them realised that the amount of construction underway was a very good indicator of the strength of the markets and when to invest (increased construction) or sell (reduced construction). It got to the stage where they relied on this indicator for nearly a century, only now with no data they don't know what to do with their portfolio and it is costing them a lot of money.
The latest stats by age groups........ Another decrease in infections too to a level not seen in ages. 61,741 is a low number of people tested so it's time government let anyone book a test even if they don't have symptoms.
Just been told by the head of our school it is very unlikely years 7 to 9 will be going back before September.
Major construction projects never stopped. We worked at 90% throughout though have amended all risk assessments / control measures etc. It was the smaller players that shut so can’t see that argument being true.
I just made the mistake of reading the replies ot the ONS tweet. Really wish I hadnt inbetween the thick ***** and the bots.
Yes, some people/scientists have said that children are less likely to get infected and/or are less likely to infect others. Other people/scientists disagree saying children are just as likely to get the infection but are more likely to be asymptotic. One article I linked to further up had a doctor saying that he fails to see how a child having the virus in their nose/throat can be less likely to pass it on than an adult in the same position. Hopefully more tests soon will confirm either way.
