    I think I tried to bring football (and humour) into the thread

    At the end of the day the post is non-football related - and so are the replies. If you don't like the non-football posts and the non-football replies then stick to the purely football ones. I believe the people that administer this forum welcome non-football posts, especially as there is no active football to discuss.

    Opening a thread that is non-football related is fair game; by that I mean that there are several viewpoints (as there are with football) so by starting a non-football related topic then one must be open to a differing viewpoint even if this means it does not marry that of ones own.

    I try to temper my views regarding the politics - I could quite easily have been brutal with this topic - I haven't although one or two have tried to goad me already.

    Because I’m not a narrow minded bigot and feel anything positive can be discussed.

    There are many non football threads on here, but some people now appear to always want to have personal digs at others. You are correct it seems inevitable that some people want to drag everything into politics, I’ll make you a promise never to post on your threads or comments then you don’t need to post on mine. That way you can spend all your time on what appears to be be pent up anger against a couple having a child.
