That was another fascinating interview, one in which GG was as forthcoming as he could be in the circumstances. I felt that he dealt with the difficult issues honestly and that he gave as much detail as he possibly could. Loko is getting too good as these. We are going to lose him to bigger and better things. All praise.
Another great interview. GG comes across as a very open and honest guy, even though he dodged the manager question! Thanks to all concerned again - really does break the week up with something interesting to listen to.
Well done Ben, I had loads of follow up questions I wanted to ask but no doubt he wouldn't have been able to answer them! We 'll just have to bribe him with fish and chips if we want him back!
Have enjoyed every one I've watched so far, thank you again. Didn't realise we got Cauley on a free. What a bargain! I'm sure there were some fees to pay but still, credit where it's due.
The guests have been great so far. Really approachable, open and honest, which makes it easy. I've said it before, but if they're happy to answer all the questions in detail you're just there to string the questions together.
He seemed to mention James Cryne quite a bit and was clear they worked together quite a bit and was also apparent was that James is involved quite heavily in recruitment side of things. Would be great to get James on.
Another great interview, well done Ben.I don't know if you had met him before but he seemed relaxed in your company.
Agree with the comments already made. Yet another first class stream which was extremely well presented. Thanks very much Ben. Incidentally, have you any plans to interview Dave Bassett.? I have always been intrigued to know what happened with him at Oakwell. He took us to the play off final at Wembley and if I remember rightly, was being touted as the Director of football whose main role was to mentor a new manager and then all of a sudden he left. Seemed very strange. I'd love to know what really happened.
Any chance of an interview with Morais? I'd love to know if he really got down on all fours and impersonated a cat! Seriously though, another great interview. Keep it up mate, I'm really enjoying these and they're a great insight into some of the stuff that goes on behind the scenes.
I think Gauthier knew what we were getting at with the question on questionable half time team talks! Can you imagine Jose agreeing to do one? Wouldn't know where to start getting in touch with Bassett as someone else mentioned. We've got irons in the fire with some interesting guests though, just not easy tracking them down. I'm really looking forward to Luke Steele and Viv Anderson is a bit of a coup.
Dave is one of those blokes who once he starts talking, doesn’t stop. It would be the longest interview of all time! Another good watch, Ben. You’re pretty good at this Parkinson lark.
I once saw him interviewed at the training ground he was only asked one question and I think the players were showered and changed before he finished answering Great experience just standing and watching
There's quite a good video on You Tube featuring Viv Anderson and Danny Wilson. It's been done by the Fans Forum and is listed as "Viv Anderson , Football, Racism, Brian Clough and European Cups, Football Insiders #2." Runs for just short of an hour long. Well worth a watch.
